Sup guys, been out of the loop for awhile and wanted to see what's good, what's bad and what's new with current production stuff.

Thanks for any and all recs, getting back on track.

I'm not saying anything people haven't already said around here but Bolivar Corona Gigantes & Vega Robaina Famosos.  Can't get enough of them.

For a cigar that seems to not get much love and very few people talk about, I do enjoy Rafael Gonzalez Perlas.

But more importantly, BEST.  SCREEN.  NAME.  EVER.  Spit my coffee out, seriously!

Welcome back! Hope you have grown a taste for short and thick expensive cigars during your absence - because that's pretty much all HSA seems to be releasing these days...

Some of the few winners in the regular production category recently for me were: HDM Hoyo De San Juan, Upmann Connie A, and PL Picadores.

Anything with 2 bands and a 52+ ring gauge ;-) Just make a trip to the Winery. I'm sure they can give you some recs.

El Pres recently had a Xmas Sampler selection available on 24:24 containing cigars that were currently smoking well. Included in that sampler were the following...

Diplomáticos Bushido Asia Pacifico Regional Edition, H.Upmann Magnum 56 Limited Edition, Ramon Allones Club Allones Limited Edition, Diplomáticos No.2, Montecristo No.2, Fonseca No.1, Bolivar Coronas Gigantes, Partagas Lusitanias, Cohiba Robustos, Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo du Prince, Punch Punch, San Cristobal de La Habana La Fuerza and Bolivar Belicosos Finos.

Hahaa thanks man.  Haven't had a current bcg only some vintage ones.  Haven't had a famoso in years I thought vr went down the toilet.  I do enjoy perlas as I have a couple boxes.

Thanks bro, ya I noticed man so disappointing they're all over instagram.  I've heard hdm is smoking well right now is this across the board?  Same with picas though I'm not a pl fan, are they accessible?  Connie As are just too damn expensive for a 10 ct since I'm not a huge upmann guy.

LOL so I see.  Let me know when you're back homie.  Haven't herfed with the guys in a long time, got burnt out from the same scenery plus I've been hustling.  My buddy keeps inviting me to grand havana but I haven't been able to make it due to timing.  I mainly smoke at work but I can't have anything spectacular because I get interrupted by customers all the time!

BBF, MC4, RASS have been consistently good the last couple years if not longer

Is current bbf nice?  I do enjoy some bolivar from time to time.  I plan on picking up some mc4 and mc5, got too much rass but it's never enough.

Awesome thanks John, maybe I'll have Rob put together a sampler for me minus the ELs LOL.  Only had one mc2 in my life that's been worth smoking.

BBF has been rock solid - current production has been featured on 24:24 many times in 2016,  PE - HQ - PSP - just had some on there a couple days ago.

Sorry, I stand corrected on the Montecristo No.2 as I was going off memory when I posted previously. It was actually a Montecristo No.1 that was included in the Xmas Sampler.

Hello and welcome back too! We are really enjoying ERDM with a few years on them and RA from the LCDH, or RASS. Cohiba 3 with a couple of years makes me happy too.

Then again, put 4-5 years on just about anything...

Ummm, welcome back?

Current production loves: everything Bolivar -BBF, BRC, BCG, Tubos, Cohiba Lanceros and Robustos if you can find them, HdM du Prince, HU Noellas, Montecristo Especiales, Punch Punch, Tinidad Vigias and Coloniales. If you can stomach them, the new Trinidad Topes pack a lot of flavor (albeit huge).

From recent tasting, Don Jose, 898 RE, and Bolivar Poderosos are my highest rated smoking newer REs - just excellent !

SLR Marquez is not showing any promises at this stage IMO. The new Dantes are creating quite a stir.

Cigars are becoming fatter, more expensive, and more hyped. A good example is the Cohiba Medio Siglo. Surely decent flavors and construction but for $400+ I think many of us are left

I'd grab a box of the Upmann Mag 56 EL's, they are actually a great cigar, taste good now and will only get better. Current production Upmann #2, BBF,  Montecristo #1, and Cohiba Lanceros are all smoking very well.

Thanks for all the recs guys, I'll check them out except the ones that violate my EL and 52rg rules LOL.

Thanks for the welcome Lisa and Joseph.  J I'll see you later this week to have a smoke hopefully.

Romeo & Julieta Wide Churchills smoking off the charts.  The ore from our host, date 2014.

I like to rotate thru my boxes to see what's hitting it's stride.

Monte PE from 14 kicking ass too.

Agreed. I have been crushing a box of RyJ Wides from 2015 that are as good if not better in some ways than my PCC Vintage box from 2011

Will be grabbing another PSP/HQ box soon
