And these..same thing.  TOS Dip2s will be legendary someday..

Wow, some beautiful stuff on here!!

And that's actually (for me) how aged/vintage stock should look like. No mould nor bloom, no traces of. Testament to perfect storage conditions:

Probably the box I get most excited about opening, it's brother box is nearly finished so it's getting closer to blast off. '99 Upmann no 1, part of the super Corona/lonsdales long dead family of 42rg shortbread and latte bombs

But this actually is the box that is more closely applying to Rob's requirements - one of my most "caressed", while certainly not being the prettiest, not the oldest and not the most valuable one....

Realy, really beautiful boxes on here (ran out of likes for today)! Some pretty good eyecandy! Impossible to beat and somehow a bit disencouraging to still go and post something.... haha :D. But anyway, will also throw my hat in the ring....

As for looks

BCE_1.JPGBCE_2.JPG

I have a 'lost' cab of BCE somewhere, and you just reminded me! Those look great! My last cab is also banded...

I am not supposed to smoke while the bone in my neck heals, and I am making a list of cigars to smoke first... -LOL "One" might have to be a BCE from my last topper of '98's.

Great choice my friend! -R

... I think if I were to have run the contest, I would have stipulated a box that you have smoked from, but it is Rob's contest! While my RGCE's would not have qualified, I have smoked so many identical boxes, I tend to look at them all alike!

A coveted box, is a broken box!!! It has to be if you are a smoker...! MHO. -P

... what to post?

For me it must be a cigar that is not only one that I lust, but one that I have started to smoke from. Cigar lust takes many forms, some of which is a matter or pride of ownership, speculative or investment, and one of the connoisseur. The connoisseur in me cares little about the value of the cigar or its rarity, its bands and shiny box. What matters is its taste performance. That means I have to know the cigar intimately!

I was very happy to start to smoke from this cab this last year and it was worth every penny of it speculative value to me as a connoisseur.

Here is my choice!

Incredible cigars, sooooo miss them! I'm nursing the last few I have from about 3 cabs I smoked over the past 15 years. One of my favorites

Do quite understand that, I also still treasure a few boxes... another favourite, while I switched to the PC for regular smoking.

Absoluely with you on that, Ray! You can only truly appreciate and love the character of a certain box of cigars once having smoked from it. Then it may even develop a kind of personality to you. But sometimes the anticipation already is just unbeatable!

Being true to my loves, and not expecting to win any awards, I had some nice choices between some lovely boxes. While I would bet some of the more classically sought after cigars would get more likes, this is what I choose.

2017-01-06 12.23.58.jpg2017-01-06 12.24.08.jpg2017-01-06 12.25.20.jpg2017-01-06 12.25.31.jpg2017-01-06 12.24.19.jpg

These are RG CE’s. I cannot tell you how good these cigars are. This is one of the few boxes I have left.

I wish I had the photographic skills of some of our mates. If you look closely at these cigars, they are flawless! These are samples of how Cuban cigars should look, taste and feel in the hand. They are weighty, firm and balanced. These fit well what Rob asked for, in my opinion, simply stunning cigars! I have to add that they smoke as well as they look! I have smoked many boxes of these!

This is why I smoke Cuban cigars! The gems are not often (for me) found in the pricey double banded 'editions.' They are often the obscure yet proven, with decades of history under the lid, and not often coveted cigar.

Cheers all! Have a great weekend.

I have a few stunning PSP boxes from the Prez including an unreal PSD4 and Du Prince but these take the cake for me. Deep, rich Rosado...almost a burgundy tinge. My photo doesn't do them justice.
