I've been trying to find a few more boxes of MUR 13 code of any brand.  I've had several different boxes now, and all were excellent!  Anyone finding them around? Any help would be appreciated.

i think the only box i got with that factory code is the RA 225th UK regional.

I have SEP '12 RASCC,  MAR '13 RA superiors and ABR '13 QdO C

With that said,  It's not very productive chasing box codes anymore.   You can get a wide spread of quality within the same box code.

IMHO You'd be better off getting some hand picked boxes from here in the marca and vitola that you like instead of just anything in your preferred box code.

I have MUR 12 and 13 in RASS, RASup, and CORO. I can recall people saying it was a good factory code at the time. I stopped seeing the code in 2014, so I don't think you will see any around now save for the secondary market.

I think that MUR became ULA.

and ULA became ETP sometime mid 2015 according to my LGC MdO#4 boxes. So if you are code chasing current boxes, I guess ETP is what you are looking for right now.

I am pretty sure that those are all Partagas codes

Yes, I picked up some Inmensos as well as some RA Superiores in that code that I loved.  Now trying to find some more available or that anyone would part with! If anyone wants (or needs) to part with any, just let me know.

My first question would be - why??!

Are you just looking for good production or has it to be specifically MUR 13, perhaps because of the "name", celebratory date etc.? Otherwise, chasing a code and setting its preference above marca and vitola seems pretty unwise to me.

Just had great luck with the quality of each box that I have tried with the MUR in late 12 and 13.  Very consistent production quality.  Have tried several Marcas from it, and never got a bad box.  Looking to try others or get my hands on the Marca and Vitola that I have tried and liked.  I always watch the 24:24 and pick up great stuff there as well, but the second-best options seems to be tracking down great codes if they are out there.

Ok, I see. In that case, as others have said, same chances of getting top quality with the current ETP code. Strongly recommend to go with that one. Will be way easier to source and spares you the extra coin for MUR on the secondary market of course, but in my opinion the '15 ETP (at least I can say for LGC, RASS and also the smaller Boli formats) even outshines the '13 MUR production.

Man...I hope I don't start worrying/buying based on factory codes. I'm already in analyzation paralyzation on which cigar I want to buy next let alone which factory code! LOL

I know there is some validity on certain factories are doing a better job from time to time...I just haven't gotten there yet.
