Off to Havana again need accommodations

Off on another adventure . We were just there but we want to bring our youngest daughter just in case Trump reverses the freedom to travel that we have been given. We are going on Jan 2. Things are pretty booked. I'm looking for a place with a pool so Hanna and Dana can chill in the sun while I make my cigar runs. Also would like to stay in old Havana or near there. So far my best bet is the Comodoro out in Miramar.

I've already checked with the previously used contacts and they are pretty full. The big name hotels are to spendy for those date.

Any suggestions?

Tough time of year to do on short notice but something will hopefully come up. 

The Comodoro is "funky".

Yes spoke to Laura. She had one but no outdoor area. Mixed reviews on Comodoro but your right, slim pickings right now.

Close to Alex and Havana club so we'll make do.

Comodoro is dated and under some renovation. You know how quickly Cubans do renovations....you won' notice it.

There is a nice waterfront area with reclining chairs. 

The street scape has a nice selection of open air bars. grab a cold beer, take a seat in the shade and watch the Jinteras cruise by every 20 minutes. Always entertaining. 

Great divan a 5 minute walk away at Melia Habana.

Under some renovations? That's an understatement. I know, I know. Don't hold up my Western values to Cuba!
