This is what I use, turn on the ionizer when finished smoking let it run all night, and boom no smoke smell or sign of smoke the next morning

I've checked these out but all the talk about "not leaving the running while you're in the room keeping pets away airing out the rooms" had me hesitant? Where I would run it there is no door to close.

My friend has that Rabbit Air.  He says it does the trick. When we're smoking it definitely makes a difference. He leaves it on overnight and when the unit senses the air is now "clean" it shuts itself off.  He says there is no odor the next morning at all.

I just recently received this unit: Airpura T-600 - a Canadian product (http://www.airpura.com/airpura_products.html).

I have not tried it yet but turned it on to check out the suction - it's pretty powerful.

The manufacturer whom I spoke to claims this unit is used in many commercial cigar bars.  I got it on sale for $722.

It's for my garage and it has a 1500 sqft coverage area which is huge - my garage is about 400 sqft.  The key is the amount of charcoal - 26 pounds and it has this additional tar filter...the tar gets on the walls and into fabric and stains everything.  Most other units in the $300+ range have about 5 pounds of charcoal and no tar filter. Inexpensive HEPA units for under $200 basically have a "sheet" of charcoal.  The charcoal is the key ingredient to removing the smoke odors.

Now I researched plenty the use of ozone generators.  Yes they may clean the air but the drawbacks are many - you/pets cannot be in the room when it's being used and also, over time "rubber" products and other items with a petroleum "seal" will break down.

If my wife catches one sniff of cigar smoke I'm sh-t out of luck with the garage so I'm really hoping this does the trick.  If it does most but not all, I'm prepared to invest in a 1,000 cfm in-line 10" exhaust fan that I'll mount in the ceiling of the garage and duct vent thru the attic outside through the roof (I already have a roof vent for an old roof attic fan that's not in working order - so that part of the install for the exhaust is already in place)...  I'm hoping I won't need this exhaust cause that will add another $500 all in installed....

I've cleaned up a small section of the garage for smoking for Christmas eve.....you can see the filter it's the round black piece of equipment sitting on top of my makeshift (old TV stand) coffee table.  Better high than on the floor to catch more smoke quicker.  The small oak box in the lower left is my 1500 watt infrared heater.

All ready for my 2 smoking buddies to have a great time...the boss gets the leather chair....LOL...

I have this down to a science now,lol

in my smoking room I have two exhaust fans that push I think 400cfm. That gets rid of the smoke well. But the smell is a different thing.

I have have the rabbit air minus 780 . It works very well on odor but if you use it nightly you'll go through filters every few months at $95usd a pop.

The final step and most important is an ozone generator. When I am done in the room I set it for 30 minutes and leave. You CANNOT be in the room with an ozone generator running and you need to air the room out after. An hour later the room will smell like a fresh rain storm.

Been doing this for many years and no one would ever know a cigar has been smoked in that room.

For the exhaust fans to work don't you need a air source from the other direction?

Just bought this to see how it works. Amazon Prime will be here Friday and I can always ship back.  $119 down to $69 and it has a lot of great reviews.

Going to try and use at night for 45-60 minutes when we go up stairs to bed and see how it fairs.

That's the one I use. It works very well. It's looking at me right now as I burn a RA superior and watch and NHL game :-)

Hello gents, is this the dangerous type?

Only dangerous if you don't read the instructions just like anything else. Just kicked mine on and left th lounge. Will smell like a spring rain when it shuts off in a half hour

Thanks mate. So you cannot run it as you smoke though? You run it after smoking and leaving the room only? cheers

Have dogs so no ozone.  Just use the ceiling fan and a Whirlpool Whispur Air Filter.  Candle.  In summer I open a window.  The Rabbits look good.

That was my issue/concern.

I'm hoping to use it downstairs while we have the dogs (and us) upstairs. The "room" is on the main level and doesn't have doors but I'm hoping 30 minutes worth will help but not be enough to have a negative impact

*Just my incense sticks!  My preferred brands are Hem, Darshan, and Nature Nature natural milled/rolled Frankincense & Myrrh. India IMHO produces the best incense sticks, cones, etc.  And I don't have tobacco smoke lingering in the curtains, carpet, etc. as a result.

As much as I want to believe otherwise, this is my experience.  Every few years I buy another one in the hopes that this will be The One.  It isn't.  I don't believe It exists.

And as I read this thread, I've added one or two more to my "to-buy" list!  :o

I think a lot depends on the materials that are in the room in which you smoke. The part of my basement that I smoke in is unfinished, concrete floors and walls with a couple leather chairs in front of the wood stove.  I have a 400 cfm blower https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CIT8IAE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 connected to a flexible duct that sits on the ceiling over my head.  It does a great job clearing the room "12x20" of any smoke but as far as the cigar lounge smell, it will be there.  That same smell will also make it to the other finished side of the basement as well as to the top of the stairs but is very light.

After I get done smoking I turn on my ozone-air purifier  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FGNTYE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on medium for about 3-4 hours and the entire basement and stairs smell very fresh.  My wife has a very sensitive nose and gets headaches easily from different smells.  This has proven to work very well for me.

Just fired this sucker up for 20 minutes while I was out side with the dogs.

That's a bizarre contraption for sure...Smells like what I imagine Outer Space smells like...

Next test is 30 minute run after tonight's Bolivar Belicoso Fino!

I guess this is the REAL thread of the who's who, who wishes they lived in a state with NO official winters to speak of! :P  Bohn's igloo sounds like he overcame though..LoL

I only have to contend with a State called Kalifornia in which some towns (like mine) actually passed a city wide NO SMOKING ordinance which includes ALL outdoors (including backyards and inside your vehicles)... Yawn.

I travel to Kalifornia a lot and I never knew this...they banned smoking in your own back yard!?!??

Yeppers, the town I live in specifically. This state is a real gem, thus the K in Kalifornia.

P.S. It's also a "Dry Town", no alcohol sales. LoL
