Lotusguy Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 "Frustrated" as anyone would be...so many great cigars but just too overpriced to purchase which I already knew from going to Canada for 15 years and hearing on FOH. I know about Cuba LOL but I'm traveling to Germany. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWith the strong dollar, pricing in Germany isn't too bad. Pick up some Cohiba Shorts which are not available anywhere else so far and if you're lucky, the new Bolivar RE (Salomones vitola) will be out by then.

ErikB Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Try Amsterdam and the Van Baerlestraat in particular. A LCdH , a Davidoff store and a new shop called Cigaragua , all in one streetVerzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk 1

Go there only if you are in the vicinity (Barcelona, Perpignan, Pyrénées mountains…) Prices have risen sharply and the really good stuff is gone…

Greedy bastards ! I bought one Cab of Partagas Lonsdales when I went there in 2011. Always wanted another one, but told myself I'd get another one next time I eventually made it back. I met an american guy for worked for Shell in the Netherlands while in London last year, who claimed he had recently gone and cleared the country out of all remaining cabs (6 or 7 cabs, if memory serves). I call that Greedy.

I just checked an Andorran website, I didn't realize the price increase was as high as it was! Really makes it almost no point to go now. Wow. That sucks worse than I thought...

I call that Greedy. I'm guilty as well. In 2003 or 2004 I “cleared the country” out of all good boxes of Upmann Super Coronas (ECA code). Total: 2 boxes ; the rest was terrible, ugly wrappers, overfills, etc. At this time it was already too late for the RA 898 and ERDM Grandes de España, the remaining boxes were awful. I still remember how I ignored the RyJ Cazadores from 1996 at 98€/box because they wouldn't let me tear the tin foil to check the cigars… 2

I'd smoke at Jimmy's lounge or at the Hilton (Davidoff Cigar room) after work where it's half price drinks. Jimmy's is very expensive, but a cigar Mecca to be seen at least once.
BMWBen Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Nino has a good post on Jimmy's with some awesome pictures. Very impressive collection. http://flyingcigar.de/flying-cigars/200704-singapore-jimmys-treasures-part-one/ 1
kuma Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 again Spain, prices set by Gov. Madrid or Barcelona or even Malaga. One of the most user friendly places to smoke. Stayed at the Camper Hotel in Barcelona two blocks from the Rambla (major walking / street w/ benches) cuts the city in half. early morning routine coffee from hotel or on the street grab a paper sit, smoke watch the city come alive and just enjoy. A CC smokes delight. Can't wait to go back.
stogieluver Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 What about Italy? Going there (Rome, Florence, Venice) in May.

Habana Mike Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Very expensive in Dublin though Fox has some great vintage stuff..... 1
dtrott Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 The LCDH in Cancun is well stocked and prices are reasonable for "authentic" CC,s in Mexico. Also ,its a great place to sit back and enjoy your Habanos with a nice cocktail since they have a full bar on prem.
