SaintMickey® Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 For about $135 a box the RA Small Club (42x 4 3/8) seemed fairly risk-free. Thoughts? What do you keep a box of when you want something quick?
JohnS Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 One of the last minutos/perlas that I need to get into in the next 12 months, along with the Rafael Gonzalez Perla. I think you'll enjoy these if you favour the Ramon Allones flavour profile (i.e. fuller-bodied stewed fruit flavours). I find that I always have a smaller cigar in my rotation, in the last 12 to 18 months I've gone through some Cohiba Siglo I, Montecristo No.5, Trinidad Reyes, San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe, Partagas Shorts and only recently, some H.Upmann Half Corona. 1
ComancheKeen Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 The majority of the time I smoke a smaller format cigar so my humidor is loaded with Panetelas/Minutos/Perlas. Regulars include RASCC, HU Half Corona, PL Panetelas, Party Shorts, El Principe, Rafael Gonzalez PE, Bolivar CJs, Monte 4 or 5. Give your box a month or two to acclimate and I'm pretty confident you will thoroughly enjoy your purchase. 2
SCgarman Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I am sold on the SCdLH El Principe. The amount of chocolate/molasses flavor this cigar produces is incredible. I have no interest in the RA small club coronas, as I have multiple boxes of RASS. 2
foursite12 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Love the RA flavor profile that John describes but for that quick hit cigar I prefer Partagas Shorts. You'll find people on all sides of this equation and you may wish to have our hosts throw together a proper sampler for you. 1

What do you keep a box of when you want something quick? I thought they were mostly medium-ish, sometimes a touch on the fuller side, but they're loaded with flavor. They have that rich, creamy sweetness that I love. A touch of pepper. It's a cigar that I think would appeal to most smokers, and I could see myself reaching for them anytime of the day. Really, I wish they were a longer smoke, as I think I prefer them to the RASS, though I enjoy those as well. As for other quick smokes, I generally don't. I prefer to sit down, relax and spend some time with a cigar. That said, I really enjoy the Petit Edmundos as well. Those always seem to last less than an hour for me and they're flavor bombs. 2
SaintMickey® Posted December 4, 2016 Author Posted December 4, 2016 @Danimalia Thanks. A buddy said he liked them almost the same as the RASS. I have a box of those..so we'll see!!!
Akela3rd Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Monte 5, Monte 5 or Monte 5. Failing that, Monte 5. 2
stogieluver Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Love the RASC, but I prefer the Bolivar Coronas Junior if I have a choice. 1

You know your right...(of course you do!) I have two of these left and as it is a Sunday night and I am smoking in the "sitting room"...I am giving them another puff. First one...is very nice and it's on order! Love my Bolivar! 1
RazorbackFan Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 My first ever Box of RASCC came in the mail yesterday and I smoked one ROTT. I'm just now getting into minutos, but these are in the same league as the Shorts, BCJ and El Pricipes in my humi. Young but solid. 1
James4226c Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 I rank the RASCC at the top of my "shorts" list. I always have a couple boxes around and sample them until they hit my sweet spot which I'm finding is around 3 years. 2
