Too bad I had to call it quits before the sunrise walk along the Malecon, 10am breakfast booze, and then "church".  I unfortunately had to catch my plane home at noon, LOL...

And yes, like Brian / "Ethernut" mentioned with the stock in that picture, it was AMAZING how much stock availability was in place in the various LCDH shops during this year's trip.  I haven't seen everywhere as stocked as this going back to my first trip to the island in 2008.

And lastly, YES, Glen / "dobaman" / Aussie Motorhead-Lemmy / Shrektopus was AWESOME.  He was my partner in crime most nights, with Stuart and Andy Fox along with Andy Ryan frequently being the enablers.  Plenty of additional after-hours bars added to "the list" of doom.  LOL.

 

Actually, l took these at the Partagas Gala. The bottle never touched the table...

Lovely image. It truly captures the essence of the Havana evening. I took the shot below of the nightly domino game under the street light. It has the same atmosphere...

"Rob and Carlos at Rum Rum Restaurant" Carlos is bringin' that Bucanero Beer which is apparently "mas fuerte" at 5.4% ABV. ;-)

"Night comes alive!" Calle N at night. ...and boy, the music was BUMPIN'!

 

"Dark Staircase" - This is, perhaps, my favorite photo of the trip. Across from the Hotel Nacional at the corner of Calle O y 21. I stopped and just admired the symmetry of the backlit staircase and the Cuban flag in the window. Erie, calm, mysterious, cold, nostalgia...

(The forum photo algorithms make the images a little soft but they all look quite sharp except for the Prez/Carlos shot where Prez was moving a bit, but Carlos knew what was up!)
