Just got a box of Montecristo No 4 from a recent 24:24 a few days ago.  BUM MAY 15  PSP/HQ  When I ordered I thought it said BUM MAY 16 but upon receipt I saw the box code said 15!!  Lucky me!!!

I know, I know...  You're supposed to wait 30-60 days.  But you know sometimes I just can't help myself.  I'll take the worst out of the box and give it a shot.  Worst case, it sucks and I wait 3-4 months before I try the next one. 

Well gentlemen, I smoked one of these today and it blew me away! My fiancée even tried it and loved the flavors and asked if I had more. Not sure that was so smart on my part... It had very subtle notes of coffee and milk chocolate and even developed into a more creamy coffee flavor mixed with nuts in the last third. The wrapper was in bad shape before lighting so I was really surprised to find myself smoking this stick down to the nub. I ended up laying it down due to it unraveling on me but the flavors were still great ?

Anyways, for those of you that grabbed a box of these and got this box code, you're in for a treat!

I've burned a stick from every foh box I've recieved rott and have never been disappointed. I swear they sprinkle unicorn dust on every shipment.

Same thing happened to me, i was expecting a 2016 box and got 2015 ???.

Had one ROTT and was amazing, i was even force to share with some friends so they could get to experience them!

New member here and I am really looking forward to my first 24:24 box. I have more than a few on the way, and I am sure that I will do the exact same thing with every box. I see you have an AMG in the background. I am also a fellow AMG owner. What do you have there?

I bought a box myself from a 24/24 thanks to all the good reviews a couple months ago and how they were especially good for "newbies". I invited a friend out for a smoke and brought several options for him to try and he grabbed the #4. Loved the smoke and finished the cigar all the way down.

Yeah, I always smoke at least one ROTT too. And like others have mentioned, I'll try the worst looking one. I don't think it's fair to negatively judge a ROTT stick, but I won't hesitate to crown a winner if one delivers under those circumstances. And luckily for me, they frequently do.

I usually have burn issues ROTT.  I have learned my lesson, until the next box comes in!

I've had many more unpleasant experiences trying one ROTT than I have had good ones. For me, it clouds my judgement of that particular box and makes me think that they all are going to be bad. I'm trying to stay out of new boxes for at least 2 months now. More power to ya if it's working for you!

Me too. If i have one ROTT, and it turns out bad, it kind of puts me off the box, even though i know it's because it was ROTT. I try and give it 60 days.

Good eye!  It's a 2012 C63 Coupe with the P31 package. Love it!!!  My personal therapist!  Lol

I've done it and known the risk. My experience is 50/50 success. The most recent good rott was SCdLH Punta. Fantastic.

I have rotten luck ROTT. RASS seems to be my only exception

One that I recently wasn't able to resist were from a box of ULE MAR15 HUHCs. I lucked out. Not only was it perfectly ready to smoke, but it was a winner ! That was this time last month and this is all that's left...

Yeah, I hit the HUHC ROTT recently and have had to try sooo hard not to do the lot. JLS2s were good too ROTT.
Other stuff I've either managed to leave for at least a couple of weeks, and... I still have 3 untouched boxes (Divinos, PSD4, RGPC) which is pretty miraculous as I do like a bit of instant gratification.
