RijkdeGooier Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Most enjoyable for me in no order across the entire line-up HUpmann Montecristo Partagas 2

As for Romeo y Julieta, well, there were barren years thereafter, no? Yep. If one prefered strong and rich cigars, those were the brands. I also liked Punch quite a bit, but I had no time for Monte, Cohiba and RA which were really medium-medium plus at the time. But I do remember them being excellent smokes--just not for me. The one exception was the Monte 2 which was blended to be very strong and rich at the time. The Boli just had an amazing combo of rich earth, woodiness and raisiny dried fruit that just called to me. I had found my brand. I liked Partagas' no-nonsense straight earth and pepper and the strong Cuban citrusy twang to be a nice alternative. And I loved RyJ when I was in the mood for a slightly lighter smoke. RyJ was just so complex--especially the old Ex 4s in 50 cabs. Loads of tropical fruit and wood, slight spice--truly a magnificent cigar. Funny enough, I actually found the Boli CE to be a bit too strong even for me most times and gravitated more to the BRC and BBF. I recall smoking some BPC and BC that really kicked. Same with Party Coronas and Lonsdales. That Corojo tobacco was really something. And you're right--RyJ really hit the skids around 99, starting with the notorious Churchill tight draw problems around 97-98. I completely stopped smoking RyJ from about 99 until 2013 with the exception of 2003 which did produce some decent Punch and RyJ. But otherwise, it was a long period of poor quality. 1
Waah954 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 This past year they would be in the following order if i had to rank them.PartagasRyJH UpmannBut this dosnt mean i haven't had some bad smokes from the above.Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk

David88 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 For me personally it would be Bolivar, closely followed by H. Upmann and Partagas. Based purely on what I find myself gravitating to. 25 minutes ago, Bohn007 said: My mother-in-law gave me two when she came over from Poland. Prior to that moment, I thought she liked me....... Ouch. At least she didn't want to see your enjoyment while you smoked it. You could always keep it in the humidor for a 'very special occasion' which should make her happy.

SloppyJ Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Though call for me. Between Bolivar and Monte. I like more of the entire line up of Bolivar so that's what I'll go with.

My wife could tell right away that it wasn't something that I normally smoked but my mother-in-law was sweet to think of me anyway.
SmittyinAZ Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Upmann, all day. Pick a stick, any stick. No complaints ever.
rootsrock Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 It really changes in time, but right now my favorites brands are Cohiba H. Upmann Partagas
canadianbeaver Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Could not be the brand that is my particular favorite... has to be one of this, one of that, this year of this, this year of that. And what music was playing, where I was, who was there... O jeez...
SaintMickey® Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Guess its time to buy some Upmann...its been a while and I must be missing something!
finecigar Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 My three favorites... 1. Bolivar 2. LGC 3. Sancho Panza (+ ERdM, Trinidad, and H.U)
ComancheKeen Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Partagas, Upmann, and after that things get rather complicated.
Firebender Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Voted for Monte Surprise to see H.Upmann as the most popular

Blazer Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Top 3 for me: 1 Ramon Allones 2. Cohiba 3. Monte I would say the RASS is the best CC I have smoked to date, though I still have a lot of brands try. 1
