The Bolivar Petit Corona will always be a special cigar for me. It was the first box I ordered from our host here when I started my CC journey a little over two years ago. I’ve gone through more BPCs than any other cigar, as I’m halfway through my second box now. This is the last stick from that first box I bought, and seemed perfect for the Bolivar competition. Temperatures are finally dropping here, as its only 48 degrees as I light this. It’s a good size cigar for colder weather.

This example is not a pretty cigar by any means. The second box of these I picked up was from a PSP/HQ listing, and is beautifully dark and oily. This, on the other hand, is much lighter with a flatter wrapper from a clearance listing. However, both boxes have smoked very well, and construction on these has been good.

Start 5:26pm

1st third: Starts out with a blast of leather and earthiness. Some BPC have had some chocolate notes in the first third, however this one does not at all. It is medium full right from the start.

2nd third: Still full blast with the leather and earthiness. A touch of dark chocolate creeps in, but not much in comparison to the other two main flavors.

Final third: Full for me at this point. Espresso joins in with the leather and earth. Certainly not the best BPC I’ve had, but still a great petit corona and good for the cooler weather tonight. I will always have a box of these in my collection, as they punch above their weight for value for me.

End 6:29pm
