Congrats on the great progress!  I am personally working towards finding life's equilibrium for myself, personally.  I tend to go deep in a few aspects and burn out.  I don't have an action plan per say outside of trying to make conscious efforts each and every day to excel in all aspects, not just one.  Equal effort has yielded a great bounty to date.  My prize: Happiness.  Thanks for sharing!

I lost 75 lbs from Nov 3rd '15 to August '16. I have put some weight back on during the break but I am getting back on the horse. The goal is to lose another 50 lbs by the end of April when we go to Italy.

Seriously.  A plan with action items.  Why are u doing it and how?

i.e.

Being more affectionate to the wife?

Spending less (on whatever)?

Being more connected to parents, kids, friends?

For me...losing weight.  I'm tired of being the fatty in the family pictures.  I started in April.  Working out five days a week.  Five days of cardio mixed in with 4 days of weight lifting.   Recently started swimming 30 minutes for cardio.  Wow!  When i started swimming, the weight started coming off more and getting me off that plateau.  Eating more lean meat, red meat once every two weeks.  Alcohol consumptiion once every two weeks.  Using the app MyFitnessPal to track my macros.  Eating a lot more protein.  Drinking lots of water.  Getting more sleep.

Results:   Dropped my cholesterol from 270 to 130.  Lost 20 pounds so far and replaced it with muscle.

I'm changing my lifestyle and my mindset,  Im not on a diet or exercise regimen to lose weight.  Changing my mindset will hopefully prefent me from being a fatty again 2-3 or 10 years down the road.  I'm doing this so i can walk my three daughters down the aisle and be there for my son's wedding.

Why this post?  Because gentlemen and ladies, we have one shot on this earth, so why not be the best version of ourselves going forward.

Excellent!

Diet or what I would prefer to call a way of eating is 95% of the battle.  Most people don't realize that you cannot out run a bad diet.

Unfortunately, what we put in our mouth has the biggest impact on our health and weight despite the constant bombardment to the contrary.  It is especially hard these days when fast, cheap, sugar laden, high carb food is everywhere.

Keep up the good work!

Heck, I eat everything that the doctors tell me is going to kill me and weigh almost what I weighed in college.  Funny thing is when I ate the generally accepted recommended US diet, that is what made me fat, have horrible blood work and gave me metabolic syndrome.  If I can kick that all that stuff to the curb, anyone else can too.

I have come to the conclusion that almost everyones metabolism and nutritional requirements are anything but textbook.

My brother from a different mother.

This has plagued me my entire life....in business - with hobbies...get involved in something new...go all in & hyperfocus....master the scenario...move on to something new.

My wife says I'm up to my old tricks again now with the CC...........

I ran by a B&M yesterday to pick up a small empty spanish cedar box to store some BPC out of the cardboard...wife sees the box and says "Another box of cigars!!!"....

It was a pisser opening up the lid and showing her there was nothing inside....little does she know what's really going on with me - I get all the mail and the winedor is tucked away in a corner of the basement.......haha.......

After 43 years with the same girl....(met as college freshman) and married for 36 this November...I've leaned one thing:

Better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission!

Thank you.  She is an amazing, gorgeous, brilliant, successful business woman (CFO).

She's never been fooled by anything in her life.....I believe she tends to look the other way and pick her battles.....

Congrats @LeafLover keep up the good work. I myself am attempting to better myself by re-learning the Spanish language. Many years of classes throughout school and it seems not much of it has stuck. I have also made it a point to learn a new coding language but fear I may be biting of more than i can chew. One thing at a time.

My language.

It may seems like a small thing to most, but I cuss like a sailor, and contrary to when I started... I'm not proud of it. It's a struggle when every other word out of your mouth is F:$:, &2!;$!4&:, or $3?.$4!2$!!

Lmfao! I swear like a truck driver. It comes with the job of inspecting construction. I am decidedly non-PC to the extreme.

I changed the way I eat.
I started a ketogenic diet in February at 225-230lbs with no real goal other than feeling better. I reached 175lbs in May and have held steady. The changes have been dramatic not just physically but with energy and mental clarity.

Also, I started a course in the Wim Hof method at the beginning of the year. Amazing, life changing, everyone should learn this stuff! Cold is my warm friend.

Interesting, I've never heard of Wim Hof but saw he did a podcast with Joe Rogan so I'll have to listen to it later

I do love my cold showers

If my wife knew how much money was in those humidors her head would explode.

Thank God for separate accounts and no kids.  For another 4 months...

Yup that's where I learned of Wim. Vice.com did a short doc on him also.

Trying to get my weight back to under 165 pounds. Unfortunately work doesn't help. Trying to schedule more time to workout and be outdoors.
