Popular Post dicko Posted October 15, 2016 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2016 Let me engage in some infanticide for this review. I got a box in this week and have already smoked 2. The first was very youthful and tannic but this was good. Also, no 30 days humidor acclimatization here!Still, both cigars were crackers. This is the review of the second which i hsve just finished.A nice supple thin wrapper but a few nicks here and there. Medium brown wrapper. Box pressed but not severe. I actually like the feel of a box press in the hand.Cold draw is just tobacco and cedar.First light is a bit tannic due of course to youth so a bit of black tea leaf flavour.First third is medium bodied with some cooking spices i say cinnamon and nutmeg. This tastes a hell of a lot like a TOS dip 2 i had recently. Same bundle of tobacco perhaps?? So i have read a few reviews of this. I direct you if you are interested to our own Keith's cigar blog. Cigars and sirens? He uses the descriptor of "gingerbread" and this is spot on! Bit of sweet spice.Second third the spice and ginger goes away leaving cookie dough and bit of fragrant wood. Half way through some cream comes in. Bang on medium body still.Burn and smoke output good throughout.Last third is a bit tannic and i experience some more straight tobacco and some red pepper corn through the nose. Overall a great smoke. To be honest if the rest of the box is this good ill be happy but i know it will get better within even a bit of age to calm down and get that last third flavourful. I know myself though it will not see 2 years box age. Score 91/92Sent from my SM-N910G using Tapatalk 5
miurajus Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Great review and pics! It sounds delicious! Best of luck and I hope you lose one on it's way to birthday number 4 (so you can find a lost gem and smoke it with glee). 1
JohnS Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 When they are this good, there's no way they'll last! Great review!
