As the title suggests, which are better? I know all cigars are personal preference, but in YOUR opinions....which deserves my hard earned moolah?

Give me some tasting notes, characteristics, & flavor.

I really like the #2, it was a cream bomb pretty much all the way through.

I bought a box the day after I had that smoke!!

You should try a single of each so you know what your preference is though.

I find them very similar but others may not.  That said, the only #1's I have are aged stock and they are excellent.

The #2's I received last month are from January 2016 and they rock.  So, unless you get feedback from someone that has smoked recent #1 production, I'd go with the #2.  It appears to be "on its game" right now.

I will add that I have a box of '16  #1's, and I feel they need some time down.  It didn't have the cream developed yet that the #2 had fresh.

I have only smoked 1 of each from Rob's New to Habanos sampler, but I greatly preferred the # 2.  It blew me away.  I found it rich, full flavored, complex, with tastes of rye, unsweet cinammon, spicey, pepper, creamy but not sweet, lots of smoke, numbed tongue & lips.  I immediately purchased a 25 SLB box from 24:24.

The # 1 was similar & a very good smoke, but much more muted flavors & no cream.  It was far inferior.  I will try more later, but I was definitely surprised at the vast differences between the two.

Love, love, love the #2. Next box that shows up on 24:24 is going home with me--god willing. Complex and super tasty. If I could find them, I would have a '14,'15 and a '16 box right here, right now.

I have the Epi #1 in a single waiting to be tried. It will be two weeks in the humi come monday so I won't have the comparison for awhile.

My Epi 2's are the more consistent ROTT.  In the long run I prefer the Epi 1, but like others have said, it requires aging to be as consistent as the #2.  I cannot fathom why that is, but my experience has been consistently so.  Without 2-5 years down, I will always select a different corona gorda rather than reach for an Epi #1.  With the Epi 2, I never think twice about it's age or how it will smoke (and I prefer corona gordas over robustos to begin with).

Both are great cigars. You might ask Rob which are smoking better fresh. If it's equal, I'd go with the #1 every time based on the vitola. Corona Gorda is my favorite size.

Have both the Epi 1 & 2 from late 15/early 16 and the Epi 2 wins hands down.  Much more of the famous cream that they're known for. Hopefully the Epi 1 develops more of it in time but right now I'm reaching for those 2's all day.
