These were a gift from my mother in law coming from Poland. Anyone heard of these?

Tried them when I was in Canada. I liked them. I also like the Troyas. They are not bad for a cheap Cuban. Some sweet tobacco and earth. You will get mixed reviews as some people will like them and some will not. In my personal opinion, it will be good to try them so you can taste a cheaper, low end Cuban cigar and then contrast it to a nice long filler Cuban such as a H. Upmann mag 46. Keep an open mind and try everything and start at the lower end of Cuban cigars and work your way up is my philosophy. i remember my mother in law brought me back a couple of balmoral corona Tubos once. They were one of the best tasting cigars I ever had.  Enjoy.

For sure. Its the thought that counts. Never had one personally, so might not be as bad as some people say.

Unfortunately I will have to put away the aged RA's, Upmann's, Monte's and Cohiba's and smoke one of them at least as a courtesy to my mother in law. It was sweet of her to at least think of me and for that, I am grateful.

I'm happy when my mother-in-law gets me something besides pajama pants.  I'd rather get some cheap Cuban cigars than fauxhibas, at least you won't find a syringe inside it.

Never had one myself, but I think it's nice your M-I-L thought to get them for you. I know some people like some of the machine made small cigars like the puritos, so maybe these will be similar, but just larger?

I've enjoyed some of the European machine mades like the Cafe Cremes and Meharis, though those are cigarillos.

I see these at my b&m. They are dirt cheap, but I never had the urge to pick one up to try. Would love to see a review of it.

Had one... never again. If you enjoy them then you are on to a winner as they are very cheap, but it didn't do anything positive for me sadly. I would love to see a video review though!
I assume they are a fairly big seller as while I was in cuba recently I saw a lot being sold to people looking for a cheap souvenir to bring back.

whooaaaa! we are not circus animals to be tortured for entertainment! why on earth would you want to inflict those on me? mind you, if you can convince smithy then i am all for it and think that such a record would be a worthy contribution to society.

Funny thing is, most pple who are dismissing them haven't actually smoked a single one of them. They are certainly not as bad as purported. Smoke them with an open mind, Bohn. They are cheapos and you have to be realistic about expectations, but it's genuine Cuban tobacco (Vuelta Arriba).

Enjoy! the Goo

Well it might not only be hugely entertaining, but a video review comparing and ranking the best of the Cheap and Cheerfuls might be quite eye opening. Match them with cheap rums and that would be something truly worth watching.

Time for you to man up Ken and take one for the boys! Enough of the Pol Roger and Sir Winnie's. The way prices are going in Oz these might be all you can afford very soon. Ha ha

I think a sponsored review should be organised. I'm sure more than a few members would be happy to make a donation to charity!

I wish my mother in law would bring me cigars, what a nice gesture regardless of the marca:P

I've had them and still have some. Someone brought them back for me. They are machine made which is the biggest draw back. They are good to have on hand for moochers and infrequent smoker friends. They give that twang but nothing else other than plain lightly aged tobacco. They go best with a night of drinking (not the casual kind of night, the getting wrecked kind), around a fire with friends, if it falls or you forget about it, oh well you aren't really out anything. It's kinda like Cuba's version of a yard gar. There is certainly far better to enjoy but these fit the bill for some situations albeit very few and far between.

I've got 5 of them many years ago. I tried one - tossed. Wasn't really terrible but plugged. No idea what happened with the rest. Haven't seen them again...

I've had some over the years. They come in a cool clear tube, so that's why I always seem to receive them from friends that go to Cuba!

Ive never found them awful, but nothing to write home about. Not good enough to fall under the "cheap and cheerful " category here!!

I've consistently enjoyed the Troya offerings from the ICT factory over the years but I haven't ever found much enjoyment from the Guantanameras I've tried; very cigarette like. But it is all down to personal tastes at the end of the day.

Nice present though, good to know nice MILs are out there :D

They're a dirt cheap smoke. I've had a couple of them and I don't particularly care for them. They're a good cigar to give to friends that don't smoke that often.
