Ramon Allones Superiores; OGA ABR11; RA Review Comp 2016

[Smoking Ninja]

Well, after seeing all the superiores reviews I decided to fire one up tonight!

This one is from the box I bought back in 2012.  Box code OGA 11.  

Pre-light:  Rich toasted tobacco, a little sweet taste to it.  Construction is good but the wrapper has couple water spots and not as smooth as I like.  It still got some decent oil sheen to it.

First third:  Started out with a little white pepper hint.  Just right amount.  Toasted bread, stewed fruit, sweet tobacco, very smooth and complex.  Lots of smoke and retro is a little peppery and I really enjoy the aroma.  Very smooth.  I bet the aging really makes a difference here.

2nd third:  About the same as the first third but it picked up some strength.  Still medium body with very complex flavor.  That toasted bread taste, buttery and little salty (twang) really hit the spot.  I tasted a little bit dark cherry here.

Final third:  Got some leather with the same flavors detected before.  Oh my, it is one hell of a smoke.  Again, very smooth.  Almost too smooth that I want to eat the rest of it!!!  

I knob it without any issue.  I did not want it to end.  It is that gooooood!!  Good thing I still have a box from 2011 with same box code left.  I just received couple boxes with Jun 2016 on them.  I guess I will tuck those away for few years.

This is by far the best bang of buck CC I have smoked.  One of my favorite smokes this year.  I would rate it 94 out of 100.  Total smoke time is about 70 minutes.  I did not want it to end...  If you haven't tried one yet, I highly recommend to pick up a box and let it sit for at least a year.  You will be rewarded!!!  Can't recommend this smoke enough.
