TomF Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Stored at a steady 65% RH, 68-75 degrees. Smooth wrapper, very light veins, beautiful appearance. Perfect draw, light resistance. Sweet light coffee and toasted tobacco cold draw. Light salt on the lips and from the tongue on the head. Opening: Good smoke output. Light-Med body, mild and smooth. 1st third: Milky coffee, a bit of salt, very smooth through the nose, long twangy finish. Even burn. Sweet nutty aroma. Hints of caramel and almonds. Very tasty! 2nd third: Still light-Med body, strength starting to build in 2nd third. Salt is gone. Burn is still dead even. Beautiful construction. Flavors move from coffee to sweet tobacco, hazelnut and leather. Still very smooth on the tongue and through the nose. Smoke is creamier. Last third: Burn got a little wonky at the start of last third requiring a touchup. Flavors are still great. Nutty, sweet, leathery, hint of anise. Medium body now but still smooth and mellow. Just a lovely smoke. 1 hr 40 min smoking time. Paired with ice water and sweet black tea.
skalls Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Nice review. This is a cigar I need to get my hands on. I didn't mention it in my reviews, but the new bands with the gold inlay looks really classy.
Smoke6 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I have a box of these, waiting on the sick period to be over with. Can't wait. I like the new bands as well
