Mattb82 Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 I've never tried one so over priced or not(which it sounds like they are). I'm still excited for when they come back
ethosan Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Had a handful, all gifts thankfully, never had a bad one. But I've had old lanceros, siglo4's, and 2's, that they could never come close to.

My friend, you know that there isn't. Of course, you are asking the guy that just bought a box of Cohiba 1966 EL 2011's. I would have saved money buying the Behike's. 1

AndrewNR Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Always hear first production was stellar and everything after was just a blimp in the shadow.. Have a box myself.. Had a couple I think.. Wasn't remarkable from memory but good. The elusive bhk.. Seems like a dodgy marketing billboard. Been blown away with some LE and regular products.. Only thing striking about behike personally has been packaging and hype! Bring back the older smaller products and long and skinny. Focus on those blends and I'm a happy boy. Oh.. And make Reyes less than my mortgage repayments dammit!
Jimmy_jack Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 A new YouTube video from a Dutch smoker shows a number of Behike boxes at the new LCDH Almere in Holland. I don't know if this is old or new stock. 1
kuma Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 2011 in Spain, Barcelona bought my first box of Behkie 52's still have my price list for them. $27.00 dollars for one smoke and $270.00 per box of 10 (52's). They were outstanding one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. Smooth, creamy no harshness, no damn peper taste, Did not dry the mouth a 95 /96 all day long. Bought some / box 52's in 2014 and they tasted like a D4 or a COR with very little age on it they sucked! Price was almost twice the 2011 and I would not buy them again unless I could know for sure that I could have the same quality that i had from the 2010 / 2011 stock. I think this cigar is resting on it's laurels from the first year production! 1
Smoking Ninja Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I still have 7 of BHK 52 and 2 of BHK 54 from later 2010 box. Still waiting for a special occasion to light one up. The last one I lit up was almost 4 years ago and it was remarkable!! 2

They are good but they don't wow me like other much lower priced cigars do. Not to get off topic, but I like your setup! Is this a wineador? As for any BHK, I doubt I will ever smoke one due to the price. I cannot speak to how good they are but what I do know is, for the price of a box of BHK, I could get a box of RyJ Short Churchills, some BBF, and RASS. All which I enjoy and will keep me stocked much longer. But, that doesn't mean they aren't an enjoyable experience! 1

Going on a year without having to touch it. 1

canadianbeaver Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 We have some incredible BHKs that we purchased at the original prices. Once in a blue moon we smoke a pair if an event happens we think is worthy. It is more because they are rare and special from 2010 or 2012 and we only have a couple of boxes. They are pretty and big! As far as quality, taste and rare selection from our collection, we prefer the criteria "Jeez we found it!" to "Jeez that cost a ton". CB 2
polarbear Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I smoked quite a few when they first came out and have sampled one or two a year since They're a good stick but I'd rather spend my money on a aged box of Sig VI or Esplindido, especially now that the prices for BHKs seems to have sky rocketed inline with current supply/demand As with most high end sticks, I find the best purpose they serve is to given as gifts to people on special occasions. The fact the cigars is expensive, flashy and also smoked during a memorable moment helps them stick in peoples heads as "best cigar ever" moving forward. I'm aware that the time you're smoking rather than what you're smoking influences the enjoyment falsely, but if its a gift to someone to celebrate the birth of their first child or a milestone birthday/anniversary, does it really matter why the giftee loved it?
