treberty Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Luckily I had brought a Monty 4 with me as well as my plugged Open Junior (always better to play it safe!) I smoked this one on a park bench while checking my emails, before heading to a pre-hockey game dinner. 1st third; mild to medium body, some cocoa, leather. It's quite windy today and it's impacting the burn a little. Still pleasant. 2nd third: medium body, starting to taste a little like mocha, still lots of cocoa notes and less leather. Burning better now despite the wind. Final third: i find the cigar a little linear, but still enjoyable. It's a touch stronger towards the end, but not Robaina Famosos strong. The cocoa/mocha notes are still predominant. Faint notes of leather as I take the final 3-4 puffs. Good cigar overall - 90 points at most. Not complex, but a "fun" smoke before dinner.the 4 has sentimental value for me (first box I purchased 20 years ago) and although I don't think it's a great cigar it's far from being a bad one either. 1
