Bass Glamping

School Holidays and I had been remiss in arranging a fishing trip with my youngest Tom. 

Easily rectified in this part of the world. September means the BASS should be coming on bite in Wivenhoe Dam. In Oz if we talk BASS, we talk Wivenhoe. 50-62 cm specimens are common. 3-4 kilo. 

With not many days to spare to set up a camp and take one down ....you guys who know camping understand. I wanted to spend as much time on the water with ton as possible so I booked a Dome tent retreat neat a boat ramp on the dam. 

So far....brilliant.

The bloody best tent I have ever stayed in 

BBQ cooked and eaten. rum poured (that Bacardi Carta fuego is excellent...and the best thing Bacardi has donein the last 50 years) Lines are rigged/lures chosen, cigars packed  Boat ready. 7am breakfast (included) and then we are away for the day on Wivenhoe.

My favorite memories with my old man were of fishing on Lake Michigan in Chicago. Those days were far too infrequent.
