Mattb82 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I'm a huge HDM Epi 2 fan but never tried an epicure especial. This is the same blend just different size right? Just curious on opinions on how the flavor profile compares Matt
BEVOSREVENGE Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 My two favorites from HDM. Others can chime in about the blends being the same; heck I don't know but I prefer the EE. Would say if you like the Epi 2 then you will most likely like the EE as well but YMMV. 1
CigarSeeker Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 EE needs more time down than EPi2 .. I like both.
Pedgy Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I've only had the EE since that's what have. If the Epi 2 is similar in blend etc then how could you go wrong with either one. Both would be great choices.
Charltonc Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Ema 08 and ame 13 epicure especial are hard to beat, but I do love epicure no2 from 08, 10 , 13 and 14. All codes from 08. 10 is urg, pra and lot. 13 is Ame and 14 eml.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk 1
Notsocleaver Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Not a huge difference between the two. EE seems to have a little more cream in the flavor profile, but I don't find them different enough that I feel the need to own boxes of each. The EP2 seems more consistent, but the best EE are something special.
MrGlass Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I love the Epi 2 but have never been that impressed by the EE, and after a few average examples of the EE I just stopped bothering with them. For whatever reason the EE just never jumped at me like the Epi 2 did, but I'd be hard pressed to give any justification as to why.

Preacher man Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I've hard far more EP2 than EE however the EE that I've had are hands down more complex and take me on a more interesting journey then the EP2. The EP2 is great an in my rotation but seems to be consistent all the way through. Had a EE earlier this month and it was by far the cigar I will remember this month. Would love to have an aged box of EE.
IcedCanuck Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I enjoy both but agree the EE needs more aging time then the epi2. IMHO when you get well aged EE that is on its game it blows the doors off the epi2s and that's coming from a guy that smokes a lot of epi2s.
Mattb82 Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 Are they the same blend just different size?

Mattb82 Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 I love creamy smokes so I'll have to try the EE. The Epi 2 for me has a bunch of Creme but still mixes in some other character as well. Very nice mix
mcease022 Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 I dont think this question warrants a thread of its own so ill ask here. What is the difference between Epi 1 and Epi 2 besides the size? Is there a flavor profile difference?
dowjr1 Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Only smoked the Epi 2...now I need to pick up some EEs. That said I am curious about the blend. Anyone have some hard data on this?
Bohn007 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Smoking a young Epicure #2 and enjoying every minute of it but with a box from the Prez of PSP EE's on the way, I am looking forward to trying them.
