I find this cigar to have a meaty flavor that's hard for me to nail down but I like it. It reminds me of morel mushrooms for some reason. I can't quite place what I tasted in the only JLS2 that I smoked. Cedar, spicey and not sure what else, but "meaty" is spot on. While it was good, I wasn't blown away by any means. Definitely not fruity or buttery as others get. I found it full flavored and strong, similar to the Partagas Serie D4, which I also didn't care for. Bolivar Belicosos Finos is the only strong Cuban cigar that I have been blown away with, which is strange since I love strong Nicaraguans. I much prefer buttery, sweet and creamy.

I think we just became best friends. I'm in the EXACT same boat as you. I'll shoot you a PM with some suggestions.

This came though to my email as @PigFish with his pancakes? What pancakes? Whose got pancakes, where the hell are my pancakes? I think a full on site investigation is in order! Someone has got Piggy's pancakes, cause I ain't got nun... Fruitcakes maybe! No pancakes! Someone be mixin' their pigs and nuts! -P There's only ONE fruitcake in worldwide circulation at any one time. Ever. Claxton fires up, sends one out and it's regifted annually until it gets to my father's house where he intentionally breaks that chain. Word gets back to Claxton and they have to do it all over again.... @PigFish, if you have it Do Not send it to Bradenton FL or my Pop will do it to them one more time. As for pancakes, I'll take mine with grade "A" light amber pure maple syrup. If they're good I'll say thank you. If they're REALLY good I'll say thank you very much. 1

My wife just doesn't understand why I like it so much.
PartagasIV Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Not butter texture, but really good Epicure #2's remind me a lot of buttered toast.
schubb Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I had a Fonseca no.1 a couple of days ago that I would consider buttery, first time I've ever tasted that in a cigar. It was from a PSP box, ARG FEB 15 from a relatively recent 24:24. That was my first Fonseca, and I'm hoping the rest are the same because it was amazing.
Bohn007 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Enjoying a 2008 Monte #2 and definitely getting some butter on the smoke but have to smoke slow. 1
Mattb82 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Very nice, had the same cigar last night with a lighter wrapper than yours. Mine was straight nestle milk chocolate 1
