Preacher man Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 When it comes to aging your cigars do you keep them in their original boxes? Is there ever a time you wouldn't keep them in their original boxes? As always, thanks for the perspectives and opinions.
dangolf18 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Only if they are petacas I'll remove the cigars and place them in my desktop if I don't plan on smoking them within a year or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Popular Post sepp Posted September 13, 2016 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2016 Over the past several years I have been moving MC 4s (my go to) out of their dress boxes into empty PLPC cabs. I have been astounded at the difference in depth of flavors that occur after two years in a cab compared to same box code dress boxes. 5
SloppyJ Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Weird, I just did this last night to test my hypothesis out on 5 of my monte 4s. I just got a box, laid it down for 30 days and they were still too wet. The dress box was closed and left in my wineador for that time. Last night I fully opened the dress box and took 5 singles out and put them in a cab to see what would happen. I think the extra room for air flow will help.
Habana Mike Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I leave them in the original packaging for the most part though will put those in cardboard in cabs or the singles drawers. When I'm down to the last few I'll put those in the singles drawer or a mixed holding cab. That's about it.
