thanks for the find, interesting collection of bands indeed.

Even the USS Idaho seemed to have their own Larranagas . . . that would be an argument to join the Navy 001biggrin.gif

Great collection.

Always wondered why red and gold (apart from Cohibas) seem to be the prominent colours with Cuban cigar bands.

Really really cool.. I'm already thinking of ways I can turn rings into art for my office... Map of Cuba?

For a few years, I had a sheet of glass on my office desk, as a writing surface.  Originally, I'd stick visiting cards and family pictures under the glass, but then I switched to cigar bands.  I figured I could always look at the ugly mugs of my nearest and dearest ... cigar bands were so much more decorative.

Very nice thought that recent Cohiba band on page 13 looked quite out of place! Noticed a couple of precursors to the Partagas Serie and RyJ Churchill bands on page 9 and 17.

Some interesting Davidoff bands I've never seen, loads of other current Marca precursors, most pre-Revolutionary I imagine.

Shame I couldn't manage to get larger images/better resolution as I found this a fascinating collection.
