It is not a regular occurrence. 

It happens across quite a few factories. 

But without a doubt......someone is sending messages. 

I received one yesterday

 

 

Who is sending them....cigar rollers? factory poltergeist???

 

 

 

They do have taste however.....and no cigar is immune from being used as a message board

 

 

 

It may be worthwhile taking a ouija board in November for a late night session at the La corona factory.

This has happened to me. I'm pretty sure it's demonic possession. Just throw some holy water over them and exclaim loudly 'The blood of Christ compels you' over and over again. They should straighten out after that.

If they are a good box then they are destined for the table in the B&M to be sold as singles.

I've seen something like this at banding stations in factories.

The person applying the bands will put the cigar upside down in the box when they see something not quite right with the cigar, it's one of the last stages of quality control. it can be something tiny on the cigar, a green spot on the wrapper etc.. The band normally wouldn't be applied yet though, 

All the same, if I was to guess, it's the reason those cigars are upside down. Then they were probably forgotten about/ignored before the box was sealed up.
