... why just call one cigar a Dumas (dumb-ass)! Looks like they all qualify!!! -LOL More cigars I won't be buying! -the Pig

"Gran Reserva" probably just means all the ones they've not released recently. Add another label and another zero to the price. I'm not cynical, me. ?

Haha. If its any condolence, you'll still get to pay for 25!

What if they just figured out a way to produce the cigars in the current catalogue that they can't satisfy demand for?  Maybe they've been saving up all the Upmann Sir Winston production from the last few years so they can slap another band on it and sell it for more?

Random thoughts:

What to you want to bet a box of 20 Dumas's ends up costing more than a box of 25 petit edmundos?

Those Punch LEs are the same size as the old Mag 48s. Nice size, and those were reasonably priced.

Does the release of the H. Upmann Connoisseur B mark the end of the Connie A? LCDH releases don't always stick around forever.

The Trinidad La Trova sounds interesting. Am I the only one that thinks the LCDH band would clash next to the Trinidad band?

is that a fact or based on the size of the boxes?

Based purely on the 20 count box being the classic packaging of everyone's least liked line of Montecristo.

The HUCA is a Habanos Specialist release, not a LCDH release. The only other Habanos Specialist release is the SCdLH Torreon which was released in 2012 and is still being produced in limited quantities, so it appears likely that the Connie A will also continue into the future.

As for the LCDH releases, all of those released after 2009 are still being produced in reasonable quantities. The releases from 2006-2007 appear to have been killed off.

It's safe to say that HSA is interested in continually producing both the HS and LCDH releases, so that's a good thing. The cigars in both lines are generally high quality, reasonably priced (except the Torreon) and popular.

The only people I see smoking these 50+RG cigars are people who have no idea what they are doing, and just want to look impressive.

Little do they know, chopping off the bottom half of the cigar with the cutter and then proceeding to just about inhale the flames from the lighter into their throat is rather unimpressive.

Looks like a bunch I wont be touching...

The Gran Reserva's haven't seemed worth the price based upon the reviews but the H. Upmann Connoisseur B catches my attention if they are half as good as the H. Upmann Connoisseur A's that I bought at the last 24/24!

Depends on who you ask. The CGR may be the best cigar released in the last ten years. The PGR was received well too. The only one that was "subpar" was the MGR.

NEXT . . .

God am I thankful I have stocked up on the small formats for the last 2 years.

I am sure some will be great cigars like the Mag 56, but I don't want a collection full of 52,54,56 RG cigars.  It's like all those cases of Napa Cabernet I bought for years and now don't really have a taste for anymore.  Sure, I'm glad I bought them at the time, but they are just too big and too taxing to drink regularly anymore.  I much prefer my Pinot and Whites/Rose.  I rarely reach for my cigars with a 50+ rg because I just can't commit to smoking something that large anymore.  I get bored!!!!

Don't bother, most of them smoke quicker than your classy Corona or Cervantes.
