i have posted about this rum before. if anyone should want a bottle, jump in. though a trip to the casino prior to purchase might be needed. from memory, mine cost me about a very hefty A$220 (i nearly picked it up for a ridiculous $20), though that seems a bargain now. it seems to have edged up.

but if i had the dosh, i would not hesitate. it is the greatest spirit i have ever tried with daylight second.

I'm confused about the price, the link shows £750 - It ought to be good at that price.

that is the current price. so a smidge beyond the reach. sadly. and yes, it is good.

i must say that when mine arrived, with no chest and the map was little more than old frayed illegible paper, i was utterly underwhelmed by the bottle.

That's UK prices. I've seen it on sale in two places this year, Havana for 650 cuc and Spain for €450.

Needless to say, I haven't tried it!  though I'd be tempted.

With rum, I hit the law of diminishing returns at about $50, though my favourite is much cheaper.

 

Edit. I just had a look at the whiskey exchange photo, I haven't seen that cardboard outer before, I presume the little wooden "treasure chest" is within that.
