El Presidente Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Your constant companion that you would be lost without. No...not your wife or partner or family member...let's take that as a given That piece of equipment, special momento that you keep on you practically at all times. For me I have several, but I couldn't do what I do without my Tumi backpack. Big enough for the 14" Laptop and accessories, clothes for 3 days, personal "men's" accoutrements etal. Zips haven't ever failed. Effectively waterproof, Place for a proper high workload umbrella, sunglasses etc. My mobile office. Worth every cent. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Let us know yours ....deep down we like to keep it simple/practical and effective!
Akela3rd Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Victorinox Handyman Swiss Army Knife. I've had this for 20+ years and it goes everywhere with me (even abroad, in the hold). Not as big and cumbersome as the Swiss Champ but with all the tools needed for whatever I'm doing. Whether camping, fishing or Scouting it's there on my belt. It comes with me to work (tree stuff - handy little wood saw) and even dinners out (toothpick). The scissors are sharp enough to cut cigars neatly; the hook turns it into a makeshift coat hanger; it'll open bottles and cans and it's even been commandeered to file nails. Mine's a bit battered, still sharp and I'd be lost without it. I should get a spare while they still make them...
garbandz Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 My hardshell 15 count travel humi. It holds my Palio cutter, reamer, and enough cigars for the weekend with a couple to spare. It probably has over 100,000 miles on it in the last 8 years, has never failed.
Popular Post PigFish Posted August 6, 2016 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2016 I think if I post a gun, it will piss off Ken. Ken will likely say something nasty about it, then I may just say something nasty back and Ken and Rob will get in a argument over it and that will kill the thread. Ken will stomp off, Rob will be mad at me knowing that I know Ken and a black cloud will hang over FoH. I guess I won't post a picture of a gun!!! Rob, you owe me one, mate! -LOL -Piggy 19
cigcars Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 My wooden slim handle back scratcher! I'd be DEAD without my trusty back scratchers and I have one in each room at my house and two in my car, the 2nd one in the car to take with me into my work place. I have short arms - Tyranosaurus Rex short arms. And I'm sure I don't have to tell you what agony, frustration, and irritation it is when you can't reach an itch - like on one's back! So that's my trusty, constant companion! 3
CaptainQuintero Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 It's pretty sad but my boots! I got a pair of Meindl boots, army surplus, about 7 years ago. I originally got them for walking the dog but the quality is still so great I expanded their use to gardening then winter walks then nearly every day use until it gets ironically too hot to wear and flip flops come out. Never had to change the laces or waterproof them. I didn't think boots were made so well and so comfy still nowadays, Meindl are a pretty amazing company! 1
madandana Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 My Polaris Ranger. It's my transportation to and from my man cave that's 400 ft from our house, in the spring it puts in the dock, pulls it out in the fall, plows snow in winter and works great for projects around the house. Pulls cars up our steep driveway when it's slippery out .Best money I ever spent. 4

So that's my trusty, constant companion! And on the eighth day He created corners for which man could scratch his back upon. I've just about worn the paint off door jambs scratching my back. My "American Express Card" (never leave home without it) is definitely a knife. I always have at least two on me. One for opening boxes, one for opening bad guys. Luckily, the latter has only had to come out to play one time, but the primal fear of getting cut made the turd reassess how much he wanted my wallet. 2

So that's my trusty, constant companion! This one is for you Janet! Both high, and low tech back scratchers. Of course I have a spouse, but she is not always happy with me!!! The driftwood one is kinda' cool, and a la natural. While jet-skiing on the Colorado River one day, it floated up next to me and said, take me home and I will scratch your back! So I did... 2
Colt45 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Don't know that it really qualifies, but my gym bag is always in the trunk of my car.
Miller1985 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 It's simple, but it's gotta be with me. Always. 1

busdriver Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I carry a leatherman on my belt at all times. A lighter duty one for nonworking days and a super leatherman for working days. Could not live without it! Also a painters helper tool is never far from my grasp as well. If a friend helps me with something I usually give them one as I consider them indispensable.
foursite12 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I can't tell you what a disappointment it is that none of our brethren has mentioned the condom in their wallet.
luv2fly Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 As much as I hate to say it, my iPhone. Have to keep it accessible at all times, mostly for work. To be honest, I feel like I am always on and never have much time to myself. 3
jwr0201 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Kershaw chive satin finish assisted opening pocket knife. Nice quality steel, made in USA model. Also own several other Kershaws, but this is my daily carry. Indispensable!
polarbear Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 A Bottle Opener- I've had one on my keys since I turned 18. I find they're especially handy these days as a lot more brewers are moving away from twist top bottle caps and the ones that do stick with them seem to put the caps on with a rattle gun Nothing worse than finishing up after a long day, grabbing a beer out of the esky and finding you don't have a bottle opener. Sure you can resort to shifters, bic lighters, eye sockets, keys, coins, spoons or any other number of tools, or you could just put an opener on your keys
Stogieninja Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 My Banana Republic boxer briefs. ...they've supported me through everything. 1
MrGlass Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Sunglasses. If it is daytime and I'm outside I'm wearing them. This isn't a fashion thing, I'm nearly blind without them with the brightness.
