Danimalia Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Hi Everyone, My name is Dan, I'm going to turn 34 on Friday, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (specifically, right between Oakland and San Jose). I have been smoking cigars for roughly 10 years now. Due to the embargo, I mostly smoke Nicaraguan and Dominican cigars, as those are more readily available. I have a fair amount of experience with Habanos, as I travel often, and have ordered online as well. Cuban Cigars have special charms, though I have been frustrated with construction and burn problems in the past. Some of my favorite Habanos that I've enjoyed are: Partagas D4, Ramon Allones Specially Selected, Hoyo Petit Robusto, and Trinidad Coloniales. The Hoyo epicures, Bolivar Belicosos, and RyJ wide and short Churchills are tops on my want-to-try list. I'm looking forward to learning and interacting with all of you! 2
Danimalia Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 Right on, thanks! Los Gatos, eh? I'm from Fremont. 1

ethosan Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Welcome my friend I'm fairly new to the site as well but good to have another West coaster on. If you ever make it down to San Diego come see me at my shop Racine and Laramie in San Diego Old Town State Park. California's oldest Tobacconist
Danimalia Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Thanks, Ethosan! I love San Diego. For a while I was down in that area 3 or 4 times a year, but I haven't been down lately. I'm actually interested in moving down there. Had a couple job interviews, but no dice yet. Usually when I'm down there I like to slip across the border and hit the LCDH shop and the casino in Tijuana, too! Next time, I'll be sure to stop by your shop..
Danimalia Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Heh, after poking around a bit, I'll have to revise my comment and say my experience is quite limited on the cc front. Wow, so much great information on all kinds of different lines and sizes. In context, my experience has mostly been limited to the larger, more conspicuously popular cigars. Looking forward to expanding my habanos horizons a bit.
