TypicalSituation Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 While I've never bought any, I haven't noticed a rhyme or reason to what cigars get classified as such. Does the vintage program lay any cigar down, or only certain sizes/brands? I've seen most brands represented, but I'm just curious if there is a list of "approved" brands designated for the program, or if it's just on a whim?

They (PCC) just put a selection of cigars away upon receipt for a minimum of 5 years and then release them at that time. Sometimes very interesting cigars come up, other times it is run of the mill. There doesn't appear to be too much planning in what they offer up. Simply a case of a selection of what was available at the time. 1

Those shiny boxes and extra bands are important you know...! So are those PCC extra stickers! -lol I hate to tell you this, but you just shattered the legitimacy of the whole program.... I can see PCC getting the hate email now!!! Never screw with a collectors stickers!!! -Piggy 2
MrGlass Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Surely the FOH caps would qualify for those stickers by now. Stick them on those the next time you're parting with them away and watch them walk right out the door.

If anyone who has purchased the aged program cigars this year, wants the 2 cent "sticker" please let us know and Di will arrange for them to be sent out. Obviously, only to those who have actually purchased and Ray....I thought I was on all the "lists" already 4

PigFish Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Guys... I really think we could have a laugh at the cigar community by putting some of these up on eBay...! I will bet you the comments would get us some crazy laughs!!! I can see it now... I am giggling just thinking of it. "Add these to your boxes to make them official PCC aged cigars, increase their value... etc... " Oh what fun....! -LOL 2
cigarsandcoffee Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Are the cigars from the PCC Vintage rated as PSP, HQ, or PE?

Akela3rd Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I just bought a box of JLP Cazadores in Spain, from a regular Tabac shop, with an 08 box code. Could these maybe, just maybe, be part of the Vintage Program and just missing the magic sticker? JLP Cazzies are rough as arseholes young but they're OK now. At €40 maybe there was a zero missing too. Well you did say the program makes no sense...
