I went a few years back, no one checked for insurance, but that was a while ago. I went through Nassau about a year ago and the Immigration officer would not process me because I didn't have insurance. A supervisor came around and asked me how many days I was going to be in Cuba. I told him the weekend. Supervisor then said to the other immigration official "We're not going to waste this guys time for $4, let him through". 1

Always have it, but never had to show it ... 1
JohnnyO Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 If anyone needs help with a casa particular I can put you in contact where I stay in Playa, which is about a 10 minute taxi to everywhere. Its also on the line for the double decker bus that runs from Marina Hemingway to Playas del Este (Havana's eastern beaches). I have some pics as well. John 2
skindiver Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Quote Direct flights from the US to Havana don't start until November 30. I will be going on December 4, direct from Charlotte, NC to Havana, so I will miss the FOH and Amicigar events. Hope everyone has a good time! 1

Love to, but after 20 years of flying through Mexico and a couple of trips flying charters out of Miami, it will be such a pleasure to fly direct from my home airport .I am going back again in January, too! Terminal 2 can be a nightmare, even fully licensed I went through the Bahamas or Mexico!
Corylax18 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I cant seem to find the article now, But I read something back in July or August stating that the 10% conversion fee from USD to CUC was being removed because of concessions the US had made in the banking sectors between the two countries. Is there anybody out there that changed money in the last couple months that can speak to this?
