LGC Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Whatever you feel like using... It will taste better in your mind... if you think it makes a difference. Smoking is simply sucking air through a cigar. You can control the rate of air flow using your mouth and associated muscles. Overheating can ruin any cigar. Drawing through an orifice of a smaller cross section has the potential to accumulate tar at a faster rate. It does not matter how a cigar is cut. The smoke will fill your mouth and react with your taste buds. A smaller orifice is not going to give you a more concentrated flavor profile. 1
Mattygukas Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 I do slant cuts sometimes with Belicoso style sticks and sometimes when I screw up a straight cut Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Colt45 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I'm another for straight cuts (remove the cap leaving shoulder for parejos, start conservatively with figurados ) for all - cutter, scissors, fingernails.....
vivalanation734 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Fingernail for everything except torps/belis; those get a standard straight cut.
ElPuro Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I tend to start with a punch and move up if the draw is to tight. This helps in case the draw is to loose. 1
Smiley Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Punch for thinner vitolas, V-cut for larger ring gauges.
