Ken Gargett Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 wondering if anyone has tried these of late? i ask, as i picked up a 10 box of Partagas P No 2 from 2006 from storage recently. opened them last night as thought it had been ages since i had a P2 so thought it time. whoops. instead of P2s, a box of ten Partagas LE D2 from 2003. i would hasten to add that this will not have been an error from Havana. i would have moved them there ages ago and just forgotten about them. nice surprise. anyone tried one of late?
Boosted Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I smoked one a few weeks back and I thought it was brilliant. I thought it was better than the 04 PSD 1 LE I've smoked recently. Maybe @CigSid can chime in with his thoughts, as I know he has smoked some recently.
CigSid Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Ken, Anthony is absolutely correct. These are smoking brilliantly right now. Easy 98/99 for me, with the last two that I smoked just recently. Very nice find, and makes me think what else you may have hidden in your humidor 1

anacostiakat Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I don't have any of these currently because I smoked all of mine. I do have some of the #3's. Also I do recall that I rated both of them very high. Enjoy......
Fugu Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Thanks gents great info, good to know. Would you rate the D2s as being consistently better than the D1s? I thought they were having a very similar blend, don't they?

Add to this the fact that many D1s were rolled too tight – I remember seen many boxes of obviously overfilled, hard as rock D1s in Paris when they were released. 1

Never had a D2 so far, but the D1s I had were great (no constr. issues whatsoever). So, given the statements here, the D2s sound very 'promising'.

I have been through almost 5 boxes of the D1's and all have been crazy good... I would love to send you one so you can see how good they can be... Please pm me your address. 1
