CaptainQuintero Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 One thing I've discovered recently while on an 'end of week pantry search' is a carrot and tuna sandwich..bare with me! Just a tin of regular tuna chunks, two slices of bread, no butter as the tuna has enough oil on it. One regular sized carrot but you have to grate it on the finest/smallest grade on your cheese grater. I've no idea why but the combination is brilliant, sweet and meaty, I can't believe I hadn't ran into it previously Seriously try it! I've tried it with a soft tortilla wrap instead of bread too, it tastes just like a smoked sweet cure bacon sandwich somehow, there you go Mus! 2

Bit of an over-exaggeration but 3 slices of this bacon would push 200 grams. If you haven't had this before and like bacon and are in New York--go try it. Oh and their steaks are pretty good too..

I grilled a 2.5lber last night in about 20 minutes that was med rare and tender. Salt and pepper are pre mixed in a shaker that I use when I smoke something. I did have someone else light the charcoal so technically it could work. 1
Stanislaw Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Wow, this is an impressive bunch of recipes (even nachos, Heheheh) here's contribution: peppered salmon and grapefruit avocado salad - salmon fillet: generously coat top with cracked pepper corns and salt, then cook skin side down for 20 minutes at 350 degrees While that cooks, build the salad: - one avocado, diced and put into large bowl - one grapefruit, remove skin and cut into chunks and place into bowl with avocado and any remaining grapefruit juice and stir - add arugula or any of your favorite spicey green salad to bowl and coat - top with handful crushed walnuts and olive oil, mix in salmon and enjoy the hell out of a healthy tasty quick meal!

Pixa Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 The Ramadan Special. 1. Computer 2. Internet Connection 3. Bottle Of water 4. Belt 5. Comfortable couch. You are fasting. Pour the bottle of water over the plants. Use your computer to google images of awesome food stuffs. Tighten the belt one notch because your fat guts has shrunk. Have a nap on the comfortable couch and dream of food stuffs... and water. I am so glad you went onto explain this as you don't want to know what I was thinking you were doing on the couch with a computer with Internet access and a belt
TypicalSituation Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Pitted dates, goat cheese and iberco. Stuff dates with goat cheese, wrap with iberco. It hits on every flavor sensor.
TypicalSituation Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Another go to is a loaf of sliced rye bread, 2 cans smoked sardines, and a few slices of provolone cheese. Put bread on pizza stone, toast at 350 for 5 min, add sardines and cheese, and throw under broiler for another 2 min or so on low broil to brown the cheese. Great little meal!

PigFish Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 So I have seen a lot of theoretical dishes here but how about the real “grub?” Hence, Piggy’s Micky “D” Weekend Surrogate Sandwich! First you start with gallus Araucana eggs (4). Any color will do! 4 slices of thick bacon, sus scruff domesticus. 2 English muffins, muffinas Britalia. American cheese, sliciss'o-cheeses froma de storis. Pepper Plant (brand) hot sauce, butter, salt and pepper to taste (condiments). I chop the bacon in segments about 1.35 inches in length. If end pieces are short, simply stretch them to the proper length…! Long pieces can be trimmed. Trimmings can be browned and served to the pup! Sauté the bacon! Drain the bacon when browned and remove to a separate dish. Pour off most of the bacon fat. At this point, toast the muffins! Scramble the eggs in the pan from whence came the bacon. Add some butter first if you like. I start with the pan rather hot, add the eggs and start to scramble, then simply turn off the heat. Add bacon bits and a little black pepper and some salt (if you cannot find Pepper Plant). About this time the toast is done. Lightly butter both sides and add your slice of American cheese (not the cheese food, wrapped in plastic type “please”). Top with Pepper Plant, or hot sauce substitute, cover with tandem muffin half yet unused, and serve. Will serve two average people, or one hog like me! Keep your fingers clear while eating and enjoy!!! -The Pig

Joshtupps Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 One pan Huevos Rancheros for breakfast. Red Onion, Tinned tomatoes, Tomato, Eggs and A couple of fajita wraps. Dice the onion, not too fine, leaving some larger chunks is not an issue....throw them on high heat to brown and soften, add garlic to taste. Chuck in the tin of tomatoes, and leave on a medium heat to simmer down to a thick tomato sauce. Season with turmeric, chilli flakes, cumin and paprika. Slice the tomatoes and place on top of the sauce, leaving a few gaps for eggs, crack the eggs into the gaps, whack the lid on top of the pan and continue the simmer until eggs are cooked to your liking.... Throw the fajita wraps in the oven to heat up and crisp slightly. Chuck the pan on the table and let everyone dig in with he wraps. Bon Apetit! 1

Cigarsandmalts Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Avocado toast: 1 ripe avocado, toasted bread (I prefer bagels), butter, salt and pepper, tomato and/or egg if you're feeling fancy. Toast bread or bagel. Apply butter. Cut avocado in half and apply to bagel halves using butter knife. Generous sprinkle of salt and pepper and you're done. Fancy version 1: add sliced tomatoes on top. Fancy version 2: add fried or poached eggs on top. Fancy version 3: add sliced tomatoes and fried/poached eggs on top. Great breakfast, lunch, or sturdy snack.
