Phillys Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Tomato pasta 1 Can of san marzanno tomatoes 1 Green pepper, chopped 1 Oigno, chopped in large wedges 3 Garlic cloves 900g Fettuccini In a large frying pan, use saute oignons, garlic and pepper lightly. Add tomatoes and turn heat to high to quickly fry the tomatoes. Once done add fresh oregano, and basil.add At the same time boil large pot of water, once boiling add fettuccini And cook al dente. Once the pasta and tomatoes are cooked (fast as the tomatoes are fryed at high heat) toss in pasta, cook on high for 45 seconds so you finish the pasta in the sauce. Add fresh parmigiano and serve To be honest it's about 25 mins from start to serve if you are slow on the pasta, I make it twice a month.

dicko Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Crispy Italian bread and sausage salad: 1. Italian sausage (course ground cacciatore is preferred) 2. Hard crust, soft inside bread (ciabbatta, calabrese etc) 3. Fetta (Mediterranean hard style, not too soft) 4. Any combo of olives, cherry tomato, baby spinach, Mediterranean style salad ingredients. How to: Fry the sausage slices and any olives etc. Cube or tear the bread into bite size pieces. Cube fetta into bite size pieces. Fry the bread quickly in the pan which hopefully will have nice sausage fat just to crisp the bread and get some flavour and colour on it and to heat it up a bit ( 60 seconds) Mix it all into a big bowl. Add "salad" stuff and mix again. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic. Maybe add some chili flakes. Enjoy! You can use different, bread cheese and sausage styles to make it have a different ethnic/national style flavour eg. swapping out cacciatore with chorizo or fetta with halloumi. 4

Chuck under the grill till the cheese has melted and started to brown. - Put the second slice of bread on top and flip over. Remove the first slice of bread and put on another slice of cheese. Back under the grill again. - When the cheese has melted and started to brown, put the first slice of bread back on and toast under the grill. - Flip over the whole sandwich and toast the other side. - Enjoy!
zeedubbya Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 20 min BLT 1.) Get the thickest bacon you can find. 1/4--1/2 inch thick is preferable if you can find it--use 6-8 oz (around 200 grams) Per sandwich. 2.) Find some purple/Black tomatoes like Cherokee Purple or Black Russians. Slice nice and thin while bacon is broiling. 3.) Your preferred lettuce--I like Boston Bibb, Iceberg or Romaine will do the trick 4.) Loaf of good sourdough bread 5.) A slather of Garlic Mayo Broil the bacon on both sides until nicely done, toss it on two slices of the bread and back under broiler to toast bread. Lightly Salt and pepper tomatoes, put garlic mayo on both pieces of bread and add tomatoes and lettuce. Cut in half. Dig in and enjoy. Simple, quick, easy delicious. Healthy--verdict is still out on that one. 2
Akela3rd Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Quick carbonara (one) 1) Linguine 100g (4oz) 2)Smoked back bacon (4) 3) 3 eggs 4) Parmesan cheese 5) Milk Get the pasta on, chop up the bacon and get that frying. Break the eggs in a bowl, add lots of grated Parmesan and a splash of milk. Whisk it all up together with lots of black pepper and a tiny bit of salt. When the bacon is starting to crisp up, take it off the heat. Pasta done at 10 mins (ish, depending how you like it). Drain and return to pan, adding bacon and egg/cheese/milk mix. Stir into pasta over a low heat until the egg mixture starts to show a bit of substance and stick to the pasta. Into the biggest bowl you can find and get stuck in. 2
