I had my first Rass last weekend (a 2015) and it was amazing, smooth, great construction, and full of flavour. I cannot wait to see what they taste like after a few years

I'm surprised to read that they smoke so well so young.

Definitely a treat, especially so young. I haven't smoked such a young cigar and have had such developed flavour

Smoked an MUR 12 last night...coming around very nicely.  Nice review, glad to hear the 15s are still rocking it.  Love it when RA stuff is ON!

Slowly working my way through a MUR JUN 13 cab and always enjoy them. Plan to look for another cab to put away for a while when I'm in Havana. Also have some still from 2009 and 2011 I'll occasionally treat myself to. Love RASS

I haven't tried the RASS. Do they smoke well young or should they have age on them?

sounds like a must for the humidor.

The only ones I've smoked are about a year old and they are great smokes. I suspect a year did them good, but hard to say.

Well for me...I prefer most RA with age.  They seem to only get better but since 2012ish they have been rocking quite well fresh too.  That being said, I can't keep my grubby paws off them long enough to age.  Oldest RA box I have is around 06-08 I think.  I finally have enough RASCC and RASS that I will get some aging now, but its a go to brand for me so I'm always buying more RA to stock up.

An all time favorite for me. Just finished an '11 cab that was sensational. Into a '13 cab that's great also. It's amazing to me how RASS has changed over the years. When I first started smoking cigars in the late 90's 5+ years of aging was a must for RASS. Nowadays they are great ROTT and with several years on them

Nice review. RASS have been a hit and miss smoke for me. More hits than misses though. The bad ones have just been really bad. I have a April 2014 box that shows promise. I think they will need another year minimum.

can you describe the bad ones (the difference vs the good ones)  for me please?

The RASS and, especially, it's little brother, the RASC, are two of my all time favourite smokes. I prefer the RASC as my "shorty go to", I've been through 4 boxes and lots of 5ers of this over the years, and it's an amazing bang for the buck. Thanks for the review!

Many thanks for your review. I like the RASS as well, it is a cigar which you can smoke anytime.
