Popular Post Drguano Posted June 3, 2016 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2016 This box arrived last Fall and I tried one after 30 days. It was not inspiring, to say the least. I was disappointed after one of Rob's stellar reviews. So I gave it a couple of weeks and tried another in January. Again I was not pleased. My impressions can be illustrated in the following joke: The owner of a lumberyard is hiring a quality control person. To his surprise, a blind man applies. "Please explain how you can perform the job without being able to see?" "Easy. I can feel the wood an appreciate it's quality and I can sort lumber by smell." The owner thought about it and was interested in how this worked. He agreed to test the blind man. He had is foreman bring in some boards. The blind man sniffed the first plank and correctly identified it as pine. He inhaled the aroma fom the second plank and accurately assessed it as oak. The owner decided to throw him a curve and brought in his secretary. She lifted her skirt and presented her crotch to the blind man. He sniffed and paused. "Would you turn it around please?" The boss nodded and the woman brought her arse to bear. The blind man inhaled deeply. " I know you're trying to trick me. That is the toilet seat off a tuna boat!" And that was my impression on the RyJ Exhibition #4. I heeded Rob's advice and six months have past. The Dog Bone review was announced and here I am revisiting the cigar. Cold draw was fruity and a touch of spice. Lit it up and there was a bit of fruit, cherries, currant but mostly leather, seaweed and brine. Not tuna boat toilet seat but there is a sense of a woman's bathing suit after a summer swim. I'll give it another six months and try again. 8
... Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Good doctor, the thing I am most interested about now is whether or not the box was cat approved...

I could not find the photos of the original inspection so I ran the box past Kiki just now. She immediately began licking a stick with gusto. She confirms the essence of tuna boat. And I can add a footnote to my review. I wrote it while I was smoking and kept at it after I posted. The stick did evolve quite nicely in the last third, becoming more fruity and floral towards the end. I would amend my description of a woman's bathing suit after a swim to state that the swimmer was perhaps wearing perfume or the juice of nectarines when the suit was removed... 6
PigFish Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 ... I just thought I would let you know my friend that there is a world of difference between throwing the dog a bone, and according to your title, 'bone(ing) the dog.' -Piggy 4

Franko Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Recently split a box with a freind, and I was disappointed to, just simple cigar no taste of nothing for me... Feels like I was smoking a cigaret
jwr0201 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Damn! I like 'em quite a bit. Come to think of it, I like tuna quite a bit as well! BTW, enjoyed reading about your talented visually impaired mate!
cigaraholic Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 It's throw a dog a bone, not throw a cat a fish ? 1
