I Don't Rate Cigars, But I Think I Just Smoke my First "100" cigar

 I am not eloquent nor do I pretend to be. I don't attribute flavors to cigars, as I have a pallet of a billygoat. I have enjoyed many a great cigar, but none that I would equate to perfection. 

 However, tonight, my selection of Montecristo Especial No. 1 proved to be just that. 

 I don't know exactly why, but this one knocked it out of the park. The construction was impeccable, the draw was phenomenal and the flavors were out of this world. This is the 14th cigar smoke out of this box, and none have given me this experience. 

Wow, is all I can say.

I've had the same experience with some CoRo out of the same box 08.  Wonderful experience, like the hunt has finally ended in a win. Enjoy!

That's fantastic. Hearing this is what makes me enjoy this hobby so much...the pursuit of happiness, to famously quote Thomas Jefferson in the United States Declaration of Independence, for us cigar enthusiasts is to experience the perfect cigar!

I love this feeling!

I also am scared of this feeling when I opened a box of H Upmann Connie A's and the first one was like this.... I'm scared to smoke the rest of the box as #2 might not be as good!

(Or I'm an idiot and I need to smoke them as fast as I can so they don't change!)

Fair to say we may be chasing these types of moments every time we fire one up!

I had a moment like this with a 2008 esp1 while playing PS4 with a buddy. We were at our own homes on our headsets chatting and I was smoking the esp1. He started asking if I could stop making love to the cigar because I kept oohing and ahhing without realizing it. He was creeped out but I was just enjoying one of the best cigars I've had:)

We naturally tend to ascribe all the credit to the cigar in those moments. I find that it is almost always the result of a happy planetary alignment of mood, location, weather, even diet--together with the requisite great cigar--that allows that extra dimension to happen.

Great to hear ...had a Club Allones last night which was so good ..I am not even a novice when it comes to cigars . I would score that cigar right at  the top  end as well .

 I am no novice, I've been smoking Cuban cigars for 18 years now. I have just never had what I considered a perfect cigar. I have been blown away by cigars, but I have never felt any cigar I've smoked had ever come to perfection. This one did. 

 That being said, the experience was amazing. I hope I don't have to wait 18 years to experience it again. I doubt there will be another out of that box that lives up to its brother

That's awesome. Great to think that I may have such a cigar hidden in my collection.

And I had a Monte Esp 1 in Canada last summer that was in the low 90s. Hopefully more to come.

Love it when you get that home run cigar. As mentioned above its truly why we all love this hobby. Makes you want to search high and low for more of them doesn't it!?!

Sounds fantastic. I love it when you have a great box then unexpectedly pull out a stellar cigar. I can't say I have ever had a 100 pointer, some have come close but maybe I am just too harsh!
