I recently purchased a 15 count HDM Epi2 .. They came in 5 packs of 3s.. These are none tubos. Can I just throw the entire box in my humidor? The cigars are sitting in paper/carton packs. Is it ok to keep them this way? Or can this carton/paper pack absorb the oils from the cigars? Thanks!

I have never had a problem in the packs. I keep my humi around 62% if that helps.

Edit: Have to say that the packs I have had, which have been few, never lasted long so that may be a factor. To be safe, I agree take the out. You can always put them back in for presentation such as gifting to friends which I did with some of the packs I have had.

Put them in an empty box if you have one.

Would be OK to put some in other cabs where I have space? I.e in my Du Prince cab and my PLPC cab? Or I shouldn't mix ?

I once bought a big pile of HdM Petit Robustos in the 15x cardboard packs. I disrobed them and stuffed them into old Punch SS2 cabs. I did the same with 5x5 boxes of Siglo 3 that I found on sale. I just stuffed them into old Siglo 3 SLBs.

I don't believe there is a right or wrong thing, but that is what I did!

I put 12 of them away between the PLPC cab and the Du Prince since I had little room left in those.. Kept a 3 pack for now use in the next 30 days or so. They look so good though, can't wait to try one.

Don't get me started.. I only have one bottom shelf and all the boxes are stacked on top of each other .. Works better for airflow though to be honest.

Same except I had to push a 10 box of Hu LCDH down there with the humidi packs!

Time to cough up another $150 for a scratch and dent wineador. Obviously, that money better spent on cigars. But I have no more space. So I'll buy another wineador. But then I can't buy more cigars!!

Absolutely. I have $20 invested into each of my tupperdors. They hold 68-69% for pretty much 8 weeks before I recharge the humidification devices (French for add water to kitty litter) and are perfect for long term aging. My Aristocrat cabinet stays at 66% and is where my usual rotation resides.

Yes, it really makes sense to take them out. Though these packs are from 2014 and still have a good amount of sheen on them. I noticed oil residue inside the paper packs and that's why I asked. Now 12 of them are sleeping comfortable in cedar cabs. The other 3 are still in the paper pack but they'll be smoked very shortly so it doesn't matter much.
