Bearclaw Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Just a little glue...I find it from time to time. Honestly don't recall ever seeing it in a CC. Much more common on the NC sticks as mentioned with AF, but generally not common. You just had quite a coincidental day IMO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
maxcjs0101 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Because glue residue on cigars are a bigger problem than missing sticks, wrong labels, etc. True story.
Fugu Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 All been said, I guess. But just a brief addition. This is usually not visible on my cigars till it gets close to the cherry. I was just wondering what makes this happen? And what is it? Good or bad? Etc.. Thank you. This is the essential observation: As the cigar warms up, the thin film of dried glue residual becomes detached from the wrapper and only then will become conspicuous as grey/whitish chalky blot. Actually, this is a good thing (as you are asking), since this is the same effect that makes it possible to easily remove a band that had been glued to the stick, without damaging the wrapper, once the burn has come close to it and it's warmed up. Ahh, the other option of course, it's lime... 1
