irratebass Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Thanks to all for sharing their experiences. I would have never thought I would have sleep apnea as I always associated it with heavier people, I usually stay at 9-12% body fat. I also never thought I could ever sleep with a machine attached to my face, but the continued lack of sleep, weakness, inability to concentrate and at times form coherent sentences has been motivation enough to to do something about it. That in itself is a big step for a guy that never goes to the doctor. Also, very glad to hear I can continue my enjoyment of my cigars!! Blazer as it has already been mentioned, yes sleep apnea can kill you. A friend of mine died this way last year. As far as I know I do not have sleep apnea, but I've never had the sleep study either. I believe my wife has it, because I will hear her stop breathing in the middle of the night, but she is stubborn and will not get tested. Good video on the Airing. Sounds promising. This seems ideal, but I have a concern. I use breathe strips to open up my nasal passages. I wonder how this would work with that or if it would stop me from using them?
RickHendeson Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Good video on the Airing. Sounds promising. I like the idea, of course; no way does it get 510k approval from FDA, though
TheLiquidGator Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I like the idea, of course; no way does it get 510k approval from FDA, though Seems like it could pop out and wind up in your mouth or throat. Who knows.
foursite12 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Give it a fair shot. I found that proper strap adjustment is key for comfort and good seal. So don't be put off right away. 2
Fuzz Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Good video on the Airing. Sounds promising. There is no way something that small would be able to generate enough pressure to counteract obstructed or central sleep apnea. And I would hate to see what the ongoing cost would be for a disposable device.

Having a CPAP that small would be a wet dream for me (travel wise). 1
