TCContender Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I would think that you could train a monkey to simply give the box a shake and set aside any that rattled due to loose cigars. 1
Kbb Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 When this happens, can you report it to Habanos SA and get compensated or is it just a cost of doing business with Cuba. Or is it a matter to take up with PCC? I am just wondering if, being a communist based government, does Cuba make things right or if the matter is just swept under the rug.Purely a question out of curiosity, so I understand if you would rather not answer due to some business reason unknown to me, confidentiality etc.. Thanks.

In the scheme of things, if I come across 8 boxes a month then it is .0005% They will just go to store singles. If at the end of a few days in the warehouse and I have half a dozen boxes with real anomalies, I check the box codes and look to see if there is a factory, month link. If there is I will take a photo and shoot it to PCC as well as a contact in HSA. I doubt it goes anywhere from there
skalls Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 1-2-3-4-5, oh time to leave, close enough. Man, if I half ass anything at work it's my ass hovering over a fire

The nature of the political regime has nothing to do with this. And the people who run Altadis, HSA, the distributors etc. are not exactly "communists"…

It could very well be a great analogy! My big thing is ice cream. I LOVE ice cream but my current diet program does not. My cheat day consists of a very specific banana split: rocky road, chocolate chip and strawberry ice cream, hot fudge on the choco-chip, strawberry topping on strawberry and marshmallow topping on the rocky road. If someone left off any of my toppings or didn't give me my scoop of chocolate chip I might damn well go berserk!
Ralphanator Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 A friend of mine bought a Box of BRC from a 100% Legit source!! Outside of dress box was complete BRC markings inside no BRC but BBF's.How does someone confuse a BRC with a BBF???
avaldes Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 They must have grabbed the wrong stamps! This is an amusing thread since I posted about the anomalous box that Bruce Storey got years ago with the bands under the wrapper. It is hard for a lot of people to believe that QC misses these things in the "normal" distribution chain. But it really does happen. I bet Rob has MANY other weird examples that he has discovered in his many thousands of boxes that he inspects each year.
