NapaNolan Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Is that because the water is condensing in the cigar? You put a cigar in a fridge and for sure you're going to be getting it below dew point. You've been storing at 65/65 and you move it to a 40F environment . . . So you're suggesting a hair dryer?
PapaDisco Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 So you're suggesting a hair dryer? Gosh no! All that hot dry air would be destructive obviously! No, no . . . the only way to go here is with a waffle iron, preferably electric, make sure to brush butter on both sides so the cigar won't stick. 1

thestogiewhisperer Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Just tried this with a RASS from a box I haven't been overly pleased with and its smoking a lot better. Could just be a good cigar but I don't think so. Great tip, thanks man !
Buffalo Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 I finally tried the fridge treatment. Two hours of cooling, then one hour out of the fridge, and voilà, I had a most enjoyable 60 minutes with a Monte 4. Noticeably better than previous smokes from the same box, with a great burn, perfect draw, and a delightful flavor. Did the same with a Boli PC, and gave it to my friend, and he loved it. I will do it again, for sure.
