They would say.

"sales up 4% globally over the year. We miss you"

That one yes and only because of the exclusivity...kind of like the Don Jose discussion we had last night. I also like the size.

Heresay.

Asia Pacific up

Middle East up

Eastern Europe up

Rest of Europe stable (year on year comparison) if not up.

Not sure about Canada.

US.....booming

4% growth would sound about right. After the success of their 2014 LE's I would say the impressive stat would be their ROI.

Yes....heresay is what you wrote they would say. Not arguing the growth...

Dantes look much fatter in pics. Hope they really are 48rg.

If they are 58 I'll spend my money on something else. Shortish churchill.

Being as Epi 2 are my go to cigar I can't wait to see/sample the Epi 2 Reserva. Only fear is the price point but either way I'll try and get least a box of them.

You are right.

They would say:

"Las ventas han aumentado un 4% a nivel mundial durante el año . Te extrañaremos "

They would say the same to me.

I only know how to say hello, order a beer and curse..... none of them are relevant here.

Sorry I didnt fawn all over the new releases and praise HSA's marketing and business acumen.

Btw, are global volume sales up or gross income or both?

Posted

I've already ranted enough. Those who want them, go enjoy. I will enjoy what I like and hope that at some point in the future the two will intersect.

Never enough ranting! The entire internet is filled with ranting! We need more!

Over/under is 6 days. Any takers?

PS...I bagged the new releases as well. Way too many big gauge expensive cigars. That is not to say they are not going to be very good. I would have liked some balance.

Global sales up in units and revenue.

Where did you see the pics? :)

Its just proof that habanos is catering more and more to the US market.

I`m secretly hoping that the bad tobacco crops this year will force them to concentrate on smaller RG cigars for the LE/RE program in 2017...but i'm more likely to win the lottery than that happening.

I've been buying my favorites in mass. BCG, Lusi, Upmann 2....etc. Not a big EL fan so I don't buy them. Stick with what you like and let the rest pick up the trash.

Agree, I think this is the way: buy what you like until they are unbuyable.

Agreed, The cigars could be excellent, thats not the point. Upmann RR, Hoyo de SJ and the Conn. A are three of my current favorite cigars, all big rg, all with different, fancy bands even. I guess I just miss the days of $85/box of coronas and the Esplendido was the king.

With HSA raising prices, and adding pricey cigars with larger profit margins to their lineup, id be interested to see volume and revenue change over the past 6 or 7 years for cigars that were produced pre BHK.

I'm with you Shlomo. The Connie A has got me good. I love that cigar, but at the same time I am stocking up on Coronas, Petite Coronas and Minutos because I truly think their days are numbered. HSA has shown that for "small" cigars they are moving to short and FAT. There will come a time when they need the leaf that are using on the PC's and Minutos for these newer releases. Cuts are coming . . . bet on it. When 2013 RASCC's are all that's available you can bet HSA has noticed.
