stogieluver Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I know a few gun rollers who had large orders (in the 1000's of sticks) for Saudi Royalty. They (the rollers) were doing it in privateer mode however. This was some 4-5 years ago. ...I have no idea if this is relevant Ha! So...you might as well be fishing. What good are you, anyway?
semifan1 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 So... He's so generous, please can he send us a few sticks! They look amazing. No kidding... I'm right next to KSA in Kuwait I'll drive over and pick them up.
maxcjs0101 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 They look good. Some people are lucky enough to get to try them.

Head83 Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 There's a trading forum?? Is it only visible once you meet the requirements? Or am I just an idiot and never seen it. 1

dgixxer252525 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I also would love to know if they taste like any other brands...i find these pretty interesting
Puros Y Vino Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 These look no different than any custom roll one can get in Havana. I know there's a few "special orders" such as the King of Spain banded Cohibas We saw a bunch of those boxes in El Laguito in 2012 IIRC. They were just rebanded CCE's. The bands looked very nice. Nicer than these KSA's. To what degree is Habanos involved with these? Do they gather the requirements on blends, vitolas, produce the bands? Or is this a more "personal" order with well connected people in Havana to get this done? How much different would it be than me just having professional BWS "Bundwallah Selection" bands made for my Hamlet Salamones? 3
Winchester21 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Would love to try one. Would also love to own a La Ferrari. Would also love to date a few supermodels. Would love to have s collection of AP Royal Oak watches. I stand about as much of a chance of ever smoking one of these However? I live near Charlotte NC USA which is a huge worldwide banking center for Wells Fargo and BOA among others. A good friend had dealings wit Ferd Marcos of the Phillipines. He had a private roller in Cuba that produced a special CC that like a 48 ring 7 in long. The stick was blended in a manner that the taste remained close to the same throughout the entire smoke or at least that is what I was told. I would say that this was pretty close to correct. The cigar had a beautiful band with the Phollipines coat of arms or the national flag. I was lucky to smoke a few of the sticks with him. I would say that it was easily in my top 5 smokes ever. When Marcos passed away the party was over. I feel very fortunate to have enjoyed a few of these cigars 1
joeypots Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Interesting that there are custom cigars for a member of the Saudi royal family. The kingdom is an absolute monarchy. The Quran and the Sunnah (the traditions of Muhammad) are the country's constitution. Alcohol and tobacco are strictly verboten. 2
Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted May 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 24, 2017 i see rob mentioned knowing a few gun rollers who had made some on the side. his memory is fading as he gets older. one of our gun roller mates - i won't name him for obvious reasons - was sent there for a three month stint to roll cigars specifically for one of the princes. all very official, was my understanding (and i can hardly imagine he just upped and disappeared for 3 months and no one questioned it). i don't recall the specific details of which prince, may not have known. but i gather it was not a once off. this did happen. i remember talking to him about it. great fun for him, and wonderfully well looked after, - but i think it might have got a bit boring. interesting as they had to ship all the tobacco etc over there for him. my memory is a bit foggy on this but if i recall correctly, they were charging the prince $100 a stick. anyway, i remember he was doing some pre-heading over during one visit and he was kind enough to give a few of us one of the sticks - hence no names, just in case. huge thing. i still have it somewhere. put it away. it would be 10-15 years old now so perhaps time to think about smoking it. i suspect i'll need a few hours. 5

If one was to read up on the House of Windsor in regards to Male Sovereigns and fidelity, you'd quickly realise that Queen Elizabeth's father, King George VI (or Bertie as he was nicknamed) was an anomaly. If you compare Prince Charles to either King Edward VII or Edward VIII (yes, the one who abdicated for Wallis Simpson), then you'd think he was a pure angel and his antics quite normal for a male heir to the British throne.
