Amityville: The Awakening

Oh Amityville. The original, while campy, was a classic, while the remake was terrible. I’m guessing the new movie will be the same. I'll still watch it though as I love the Horror genre.

Oh my..when will they finally give up remaking these! The originals were soooo much better...

I love older horror films. But the genre seems to be stuck in the doldrums at the moment. Horror films either seem to be a slasher/gore fest (such as saw and hostel) or a poor rehash of an older film. Maybe im getting older and have seen so many of these films that they are no longer surprising? But I think standards have generally dropped. Im sure I will go and see this new Amityville, i will just have low expectations to avoid disappointment and obviously not compare it to the original which is still quite enjoyable.

Saw the original as a kid. Scared me to death! Campy now but back then, wow!!!

Will watch as I too love horror. The wife not so much. She won't watch The Walking Dead...
