MIKA27 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Jason Bourne - Trailer There’s a new Jason Bourne film coming out on July 29, and it’s called Jason Bourne. Here’s the trailer for the fifth film in the Bourne series, and brings back Matt Damon as the titular badass. Today is the first day we’ve actually known the title of Paul Greengrass’ new Bourne film. Jeremy Renner as Alex Cross will be back, but not in this particular flick. Jason Bourne will be released in the US on July 29 — and likely Australia soon after.
ayepatz Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Fingers crossed it lives up to the original three. Doesn't look like it from that. 1
sharks Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 OMG I loved the first 3, fingers crossed for this one 1
shlomo Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Unfortunately it looks a little CGI heavy, which is a big detractor to the film. Although I have high hope with Greengrass involved....
Baldy Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Wait a sec, isn't he busy growing potatoes on Mars? 3
TheMonk Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Really looking forward to this one! The trilogy was great, with the 3rd movie actually being better then the first IMO, which is a very rare thing when it comes to movie trilogies.
RickG Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Yeah I saw this last night! Can't wait for this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MIKA27 Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Matt Damon says Jason Bourne "goes deeper than Ultimatum" The end of 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum finally saw beleaguered spy Jason Bourne achieve a kind of closure. He discovered the truth behind his hidden identity and swam away to live happily ever after. Nearly ten years later, Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass are back with another sequel, Jason Bourne. So what drew Bourne out of retirement? Damon tells EW that the conclusion of Ultimatum completed one element of his story. But as for the man at the heart of that story? He's still in a dark place. "He’s living with the same things as he was before," Damon explains, "and then he goes to find Julia Stiles’ character, who basically says, “Just because you remember everything, doesn’t mean you know everything.” So you find him in a place that’s dark and unresolved." Looking at it logistically, it does add up. Just because he faced the reality of his situation, and came to grips with his true identity, doesn't mean he's a happy chap. "This is the completion of this journey that started in The Bourne Identity," Damon continues. "It’s part of the first three [movies], it’s not a whole new chapter. It feels like the conclusion, even though we’re not saying it’s the conclusion, it feels like the conclusion of my identity journey. It goes deeper than Ultimatum, basically." Since we last saw Bourne the world is a very different place, and those changes will be reflected in this next adventure. "There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyber warfare and civil liberties – things that are slowly coming to into the zeitgeist as we start to grapple with what the future is going to look like. And so those are kind of somewhere in the stew of our story... This one feels like a movie about today." Directed by Paul Greengrass, and starring Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones, Jason Bourne opens in the UK on July 28, and in the US on July 29.
Mr.T Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I love Greengrass as a director and look forward to see what he has in store for us again, but really how many Bourne movies can you do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Same can be said for Bond but it's successful... IMO Spectre wasn't all that great but I can easily see more Bourne provided it stays true/similar to the first three. Of course the story in this instance must be alot dtronger now that Jason knows his own details and identity. 2
MIKA27 Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 Watch The First Full Trailer For Jason Bourne You know his name: it’s Bourne part five. Series original director, Paul Greengrass, returns to see Matt Damon be a general bad ass. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think! There’s no Jeremy Renner as Alex Cross (in this particular flick) as we join Jason Bourne several years after his disappearance at the end of The Bourne Ultimatum. “Jason Bourne isn’t a super hero,” says Greengrass. “He doesn’t wear a cape or a mask. He’s not one of those kinds of guys. He is just an ordinary man. I think when people watch Jason Bourne they can imagine how they might react in those situations and those circumstances, and when you see him thinking his way through and coming up with a plan and executing his plan, that’s incredibly exciting.” “It has taken us a long time to come back because we didn’t have the right story before. The world needed to change and then there comes that moment when it makes sense. You know when it feels right and that’s when you do it, not before.” Jason Bourne hits Australian cinemas on July 28. 1
ChampagneInHand Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I do like that they have come back to Matt Damon. I think Jason Bourne will run its course. I hope it ends well. From reading and or following Tom Clancy's character Jack Ryan, I have been disappointed many times as I remember Harrison Ford doing a great job with this character. Maybe it's not so much who plays the character but that the character seems to get younger as the time sequence us more modern. I guess Ben Affleck did an okay job in "The Sum of all Fears," though Morgan Freeman helped as did his Russian counterpart. Forgive me for not knowing the actors name. The most recent Jack Ryan film set mist,y in Russia and Manhattan was interesting but Kiera Knightley was the one who held that film together. I have loved James Bind films but as you watch the you also laugh alongside the films. Yes, I also love the animated "Archer," as well. Jason Bourne seem to break out a bit from the action hero movie as Damon appeared more normal, at first, while unaware of his killer instincts. I think pushing to many movies into the Bourne series would be a mistake. As with the saga of Jack Ryan, who has seen everything from Columbian drug smugglers and the IRA, to a reinvention of Cold War tensions though the films definitely seem many decades apart. I guess one can hope. "What should we start with?" "An '82 Margaux." "Is it good?" "Good? It will make you believe in God!" 1
