El Presidente Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Cam got exposed last night... Not a great leader... Total pu$$y for not diving on fumble.. Run first/option QB... Go Browns... Carmine on your second point. I watched that play...and watched it again. I am dumbfounded as to why at such a critical part of the game you don't dive on that ball. Really, at any time of the game....in any physical contact game. it surely is coached in you. I am never one to cast tags on any athlete but as someone who has coached for a long time, i would certainly pull my star player aside in a few weeks and ask the question as to what was going through his mind at the time. From a psychological point of view, it is a benchmark play for any player. One that will be reminded to him by oponents for years to come. I would like my player to deal with it now and move on.
Ken Gargett Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Known him for 20 years and that is the first time ken has ever admitted he was wrong. PM or e-mail me for a cigar mikemerry you've never heard me admit it because in our discussions, i've never had to. 1

wabashcr Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Here you go Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Thanks for sharing, I hadn't seen that. I think Ken and others could be forgiven, as CBS certainly could have done better with the camera angles they chose to show. The replay they kept showing was from the other side than the shot above, so you really couldn't tell if the ball hit the ground or not. I don't think the referee saw the above angle, either, or he would have announced the replay result as being "call confirmed" instead of "call stands." I'm still fairly certain that if it had been ruled a catch on the field, that call would have stood as well. That said, the official who called it incomplete on the field was on the side where he would have had a view similar to the above pic, albeit a real time view, without the benefit of the frozen frame with the tip of the ball touching the ground. I think they probably got it right by chance, more than because instant replay worked correctly.

I am a NY Giants fan, I was watching the game with about 20 Broncos fans and pulling heavily for the Panthers.(I'm less than excited to hear "we were the best ever" for the next 3 months) I had no illusions that the Panthers were going to make it interesting after that. It took the wind out of my sails just watching the game, I can't imagine how his teammates felt. Then he backs it up with that "Press Conference"? I want to give him the benefit of the doubt; he's a kid (26), just lost the biggest game of his life, was let down by his teammates all game and still had 310 all purpose yards. 310 yards in whats universally being called a "bad game" His lineman weren't blocking, his receivers were jogging through their routes, both running backs lost a fumble, the kicker was terrible, and they allowed a 61 yard punt return. The panthers weren't in the building from the start. That's what Cam wanted to say, but he didn't. Cam played his heart out until he was done, unfortunately everybody got to watch him make that decision. So while I do think he has taken a step forward from past press conference performances hes still has miles to go in the professionalism and maturity categories.
mikemerry Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 When it comes to Cam, I think he thought the ball was gonna pop back at him. But he takes a beating and the only reason I'm so passionate about that call is because Carolina should had a holding call on almost every play meanwhile the term conspiracy floats out there. The conspiracy is all the media picking the panthers so everyone dumps cash. Either way Broncos dominated! Thanks Prez Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MrGTO Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 To all who said the game was boring, you are buying into the "new" NFL BS! Does every game have to have 60+ points??? This is what they are doing by neutering the defenses with all the new hitting rules. I really like watching a defense shut a team down.
StumpyJoe Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Good pic. I thought that was a catch all the way, but it looks like I was wrong, too. Ditto here. Great photo.
sikfrayme Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 As a huge Broncos fan, I was lucky enough to make it to the game. What an experience!! It was a great performance all around by the Broncos, special kudos to the defense for winning the game!!! GO BRONCOS!!! 1

GO BRONCOS!!! that must be fun. just getting to a superbowl must be brilliant. especially when it involves your team and they won. a good mate of mine who claims to be a broncos fan (he was all about the giants last year but he claims that was ten years ago) went over for it. still can't work out how he got a ticket. he is still travelling around the states. mates from the states were visiting sydney ages ago and we were sitting around chatting with friends down there. one of the girls from sydney told us she had been to a superbowl. no one believed her, especially as she had no interest in sport, but she described it and sure enough. we asked what she thought. oh, i did not go in. we all stayed in the car park drinking. the tickets effectively were wasted.

That is a painful story to listen to for me. I actually know a few girls from high school/college that are Broncos cheerleaders. This was the second time going for some of them. Fortunately all but one of them realize how lucky they were to be there for free. I'm a huge Giants fan, they won the super bowl in 07 and 11, not quite ten years ago but.....
