I know the guys here who have great wives or significant others love them dearly and wouldn't have it any other way, but I've just never experienced such a thing and love being able to spend my money as I see fit without some nagging voice of dissension. 1

Loved being single but now I would not trade it for anything. Positives and negatives to both and I am grateful for both of them. Now, homeownership is a blessing and curse at the same time. Especially when one goes to sell. That is a different discussion. 1

I had the mildly insane idea to buy a decent house and then tear it down to rebuild another one . . . It was all fine once I recovered from spending 25% more than I had planned and just finished the landscaping about 10 months later, but who's counting! I can concur with the Pig about the wife. We love to list their funny demands, but we would be lost without them!
