Reviving this thread-Looking for an update on more recent RASS.

How are the '16 and '17 RASS smoking?

 I smoked a '17 yesterday & it was superb.

My LAU MAY 16 psp box from here is doing very well. I've only sampled one, but it was amazing. Most pungent smell of delicious cuban tobacco of any box I own. 306e7b0ac35d9f4c62a1d04feb706db9.jpg

I’ve got a box of ETP Feb 16, had one a few months ago that tasted wildly young, not in a good way (the aroma from the box indicated this as well). I’ve decided to leave it in the back of the humi out of sight for a while. I poked my nose in it recently, smelled much better. May try another soon.

FWIW, my wrappers are of the darker variety, not the Colorado (reddish) wrappers like in Prodigy’s pic.

I picked up a MAR 17, 50 cab a while back, and have tried 2 of them to get an idea for where they stand. They are still young, but I kept getting glimpses of something good. The box smells fantastic as well. I'm looking forward to these in the next 18 months or so.

I've done some vertical tastings on the RASS by year. It seems to me that these hit their stride around 4 or 5 years old. It's a cigar that will slap you around a bit but that fruitcake flavor really stands out at the 4 to 5 year mark.

JMO of course :)

I have a cab of ETP MAR 2016 that are very good. They could use some more time down which I am providing them to smooth out a bit.
